Great diner food. Clean restaurant. Service very good. Great diner cake too! Would definitely be a regular if I lived closer.

I order delivery/take out from this traditional diner all the time. They are always super quick to deliver and the food comes in huge proportions - I always have a second meal leftover. They also always include little extras that make a difference - bread and butter with your pasta, extra sauces, salt and pepper... just really nice to have a place pay attention to details like that. The prices are reasonable, and their phone manner is very polite. Plus they always offer me a seat and a glass of water while I wait for my take out order, great service. If you eat in, they have a great heated sun room around the whole front of the place that's nice year round, and the whole place is clean and pretty big for a NYC diner. It's not a fancy place, just a reliably good diner experience.

We have been going to the Flame since it opened and have never been disappointed. Since we have subscriptions for the ballet and opera at Lincoln Center, the Flame is so convenient and perfect for pre-theater. They have even accommodated large groups for me. The broiled red snapper is always a hit!

Asked the hostest where I could order take out, she motioned in a general direction and didnt offer a menu to order from even after I asked for one. I ordered a wrap from one of the guys behind the bar, sat down started reading, 10 minutes later and nothing. Asked the guy where my wrap was, he looked around and said not yet...then walked over to the counter and instead of yelling out "Grecian Wrap to go" he whispered it. Screwed up the order...fine stuff happens...but then didn't apologize or tell me...hey sorry it will be a good 5 minutes more as we haven't ordered it....so I walked out....won't come back.....plus the food was super-super expensive for a diner...even in NY

I order from this spot at least once a week, they are always very courteous, and very quick. The delivery guys are very polite and sweet. I love good food and great service.

standard diner fare---order delivery from here at least 2-3 times a week and always get my food very quickly. if you are a resident at SLRH this place will be your staple after a long day at the hospital.

This place may not have the most excellent food , but it is excellent for a local diner. Good hamburgers or eggs. Also the deliveries are very quick.
