You have to know what to order...
Ollie's is now located at 160 Freedom Pl after a fire at this address. I have been eating at Ollies for 20 years, and consider them to be a good middle-of-the-road Chinese restaurant chain. You have to know what to order - some things are fabulous and other things are terrible. Among the former, I would put their dumplings and lo mein. I also like their Moo Shu. And of course, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce always makes me very happy. OK, lots of things are greasy - make sure you have extra napkins... Sometimes when you call for a delivery, the place is really busy and the woman on the phone makes you repeat everything 5 times - very annoying. But I am usually happy to get the food.

Struggling
It's amazing what the UWS will tolerate for food. There are no decent chinese or italian restaurants. Ollie's charges way too much. Example, tofu with pork and black bean sauce - very very little pork and the sauce was poor. Since when did this dish become tasteless spciy junk?!

The poorest Taiwanese noodle I have ever had.
I used to like Ollie's Taiwanese Shrimp Noodle. Since they were renovated, however, the quality of this particular dish went from 5 - 1. There was hardly any shrimps, the noodles tasted like noodles with a cup of soy sauce. It seemed that the management of the restaurant has been changed.

Used to be Better
Used to be better. Service is unfriendly. My soup was cold and they didn't put the noodles in it. The dumplings and roast meats are still really good.

Ollie's continues to go down hill
Ollie's has gone down hill. Extra unfriendly service inside the restaurant. Food is not as fresh. Poor delivery service - their delivery service closes earlier than the listed times.

Eh It's Ollie's it's awesome for what it is
Ollie's is kind of the cheapest chinese place I know and I've lived in this neighborhood since I was born. The service is pretty ordinary, but their food is awesome for what it is. (Cheap and easy Chinese food) The thing I love most about this place is their roast pork buns because they're BAKED NOT steamed and that makes one hell of a difference. Also their Lunch menu is cheap and has all of the old time favorites. I have no idea why it has a price rating of 3 dollar signs I feel like it should be 1 or maybe even 2 I feel like the 3-4 range should be Shun Lee and 5 should definitely be the Mandarin Oriental anyway bye folks

Way overrated
Just ate there and it was forgettable. Got the order wrong and the food was pretty mediocre. The attitude of the waitress was pretty bad. Face it, there's no such thing as good chinese food in the UWS.
