Classic
I used to visit friends at east 7th street between 2nd and 3rd and eat at east village thai, which i consider to be the hidden gem of nyc. Unbelievable. Now that I work up in midtown west it has been very difficult to find a place that even comes close to competing and olieng is it. Fresh veg's, unbelievable bite, and quick takeout service really sets this resturaunt apart from all of the others. A must try experience.

Awesome
Tried this for the first time 2 wks ago. General consensus around the office - it was very good. I ordered the Pad Bai Ga Prow which was good, though it was mild spicy - spicier than other places ... had to rate atmosphere lowest since we've never been there & ordered delivery.

Consistently Great!
This is our favorite Thai restaurants around the neighborhood. Consistently good, even when you order for home delivery. The food is flavored just right, the spice on point, the portions adequate and the selection is good enough to keep you coming back and experiment. I have yet to be disappointed. And oh ... the price, even a struggling artist can afford.

My favorite Tai
Many great dishes. Superb flavors. Great service (even delivery). Quality of the food delivered is just as good as the restaurant. Favorite dish: Possibly the best grilled slice steak salad ever (Yum Nuer Yang). Just ask for medium spicy if you are not hard core. Favorite compliments: Amazing sticky rice and siam rolls

Thai-rific
Just great. The pad thai is amazing as is the satay. The coconut chicken soup is among the best I've had. As good as any I had in thailand. Easy on the wallet too. The food is delicious. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We came in five minutes before they were closing and they didn't rush us at all. Highly recommended, especially when you've paid a fortune to go to theater and you want a nice, no frills place to eat before.

Only Eat Thai HERE!
This is the most amazing Thai food- it's fresh and so tasty! I've ordered delivery from them many times, but last night I went in to grab a quick bite. I ordered the pad thai- it came out quickly and made to order. You can actually see the chef back there working. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is tinier than my studio apartment (seriously), but still quaint for two to eat. I highly recommend this place. As a matter of fact, I am getting ready to order lunch from there.

This is my neighborhood Thai restaurant
I've been living in the city for 6 years now, and I've been to many many Thai restaurants both in Manhattan and in Queens. I recently moved to Hells Kitchen from Astoria, and was disappointed with many of the Thai places in my new neighborhood. Until I found Olieng. It's small and quaint, fresh and tasty. My boyfriend and I came across it, and now we either eat there or order delivery. I have never been disappointed. They are lovely. Thank goodness I finally found my neighborhood Thai staple.
