    Rare find

We had the Irish breakfast...what a treat! Real Irish staff with terrific service. Would go back in a minute!!

    I don't get it.

I ordered take-out from Oldcastle, based on the previous glowing reviews. I must say that I just don't get it. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. Pluses: Food arrived very quickly, and piping hot. However, the mashed potato topping seemed to be made from instant mashed potatoes, and the dish in entirety was very bland, not properly seasoned. Overall, thoroughly mediocre.

    A great find!

We had a great night at the Oldcastle Pub and Restaurant. The dining room on the second floor is big and roomy and they welcomed our large party with attentive service. Everyone was happy with their meals and many enjoyed a specialty coffee after dinner.

    mistown hidden treasure

just steps off the main avenue,I found a GREAT restaurant! For an Irish pub, you will be pleasently suprised with the great food. big porton and large selection. the door man from the sherton sent us there for breakfast. We loved it so much, that we went back for dinner. Definitely the best value in NYC. PS. They have a great pint of guinness,
