    Good Diner! Great Prices

I went to Odessa on a Wednesday night for a quick dinner with a friend. The service was good, the prices were terrific- our meal for two (no dessert, just drank water) was still only $15 w/ tip. It's not often you can get that in NYC! It was quiet, friendly, etc. Our burgers were cooked to order, everything was fine. My only complaint was that the lights would be dimmed sporadically and suddenly as the evening gew later.

    Customer Friendly!!!

These guys listen to my drunken rhetoric almost every night! They deal with the fact that I can't remember my address, and how to order my cabbage rolls. Yet, my food still arrives and I am happy in the afternoon. God Bless you Odessa!

    Odessa Rocks

Odessa is the best spot to go after you've been out in the village drinking....or if you happen to live in the village then its the best late, late, late night delivery there is...the food is always rockin.

    Old School

Anyone expecting gourmet eats has come to the wrong place... they don't have good borscht (go to Veselka for that), any seafood is dodgy, higher end items on the menu I suspect are unfrozen caveman food... it's really just a diner, despite it's Ukranian roots. It's good diner food (read burgers, plates, breakfast specials) with some decent perogies (fried potato with onions and sour cream rock), an oddly generic greek diner atmosphere, but is a staple and probably the place I order the most from... a Buffalo burger delivered at 5:30 am... you ain't getting that in Cincinnatti slappy. Their chicken cutlet sandwiches are huge, you get a full butterflied chicken breast on a roll with trimmings for 6 bucks. Surprisingly good lasagna too. Not a place for a date; a place to go with buds if you're hungry, hungover, or need something to eat after a long night.

    Not recommended

I went to Odessa solely because it's open 24 hours. I ordered borsht (I'm a native Russian) and it was not so good. My friend's steak was gray. However, the BLT - and ONLY the BLT - there is great.

Yummy 24-hour diner with a huge menu

Thank goodness for Odessa -- I don't know what I'd do without it. The challah French toast is amazing. Great grilled cheese with tomatoes, too. Service can be agonizingly slow late-night weekends, but delivery is usually quick and they get your order right every time.
