    4:30am delivery, anyone?

Convenient diner for lazy Sunday 4:30 am delivery. Food is above average, great, reliable people working there; been around many years.. But the place itself isnt very appealing or appetising... I usually restrict myself to takeout or delivery only..

Well it's, you know, a diner.

Due to the fact that my friend has a curious penchant for diners and their fare, I decided to take her to Odessa as part of her birthday gift in order to smother her not only in the diner ambience, but in the pierogies, blintzes, and other Eastern European/Greek delights that she craves. While she was perfectly happy with her turkey burger deluxe, I was somewhat underwhelmed by my spanakopita. It tasted good, but it wasn't memorable (but what should I really expect? I think I often hope for too much). I will say, however, that the side salad, a melange of feta, anchovies, greens, and a scrumptious little stuffed grape leaf, was excellent. Our waiter was also energetic, with a sense of humor and a kind disposition. While admittedly I probably wouldn't return (the excitement has left me), I'm still glad I went.

    R U Kidding?

Other reviewers are correct. Odessa raises their prices without notice. I must say however, they are still worth the money late at night. Thank you you for such fast service too!!! Food seems toxic yet satisfying when you are loaded late at night....keep it coming guys til we die...nice people too.

"Use em but watch em" was right.

Just read his comment before ordering delivery. Checked my bill and sure enough... enflated bill. food was good, but i was charged more than was listed on both the meupages.com menu and the menu that was included in the delivery bag.

    Use em but watch em

odessa is family. it would feel weird if odessa was gone from avenue A and tompkins square. standard huge diner menu, huge diner portions, all reliable, they pull no punches... EXCEPT when getting delivery: WTF? padded bill city! finally caught on and began asking price of each item as well as bill total when placing order, with predictable end to inflated bill. but i still order and still love it and i do recommend it.

    Calling all insomniacs...

Who else delivers at 3:00 a.m.?? Consistently good food and service -- if you're starving in the middle of the night, look no further.
