I arrived in NYC some months ago from Europe, and immediately I adopted Odessa. People here are extremely polite and helpful, the food is delicious, fresh and really cheap. The service is quick! Of course, it's never empty, people adopt this place like a second home. Try the very good pastrami and the tasty french toasts! Whenever I feel sad I go there and fell better after.

I've lived about 5 blocks from Odessa for over a year and I have never once had an issue with them. Always tasty, always fast delivery (or fast table service), always filling. 24 hours a day. non stop. I can't tell you how many satisfied people that place must feed everyday. Its like a neighborhood kitchen. Odessa, we love you!!!!

My title says it all. Whenever I'm hungry and can't decide what I want I just glance at my Odessa menu in my drawer and order. Great chicken cutlet with string beans and kasha for under 10 bucks. Crazy and great! The only thing I stay away from are the fish/seafood choices as I have had one too many not so good experiences with them, but otherwise everything else I've had is very good. Where else can you order at 3 am and have delivery by 3:30am? Odessa is my personal mobile diner!

The E. Village hipsters who want to wait an hour and pay high prices for inferior, smaller portions from rude servers can take Veselka and keep it. Odessa rules for potato pancake-blintz-pierogie-kielbasa-stuffed cabbage bliss. Especially at these prices. Choose the funkier red-walled bar section next door (same menu), although it's only open nights and weekends. Perfect for late nights out to absorb the alcohol or late lunches on chilly days when stick-to-your-ribs grub is what you need on the cheap. Odessa Combination Dinner is a standby for me.

We eat here about 3 nights a week, 80% of the time being delivery. Service is outstanding, very quick and very nice. Mistakes are rarely made and if so, they are quick to fix it. Chicken cutlets are highly recommended, portions are generous too because you can feed 2 people off of 1 dinner. Thanks for the heads up with the price inflation, we've never notice that... INTERESTING!

Convenient diner for lazy Sunday 4:30 am delivery. Food is above average, great, reliable people working there; been around many years.. But the place itself isnt very appealing or appetising... I usually restrict myself to takeout or delivery only..

Due to the fact that my friend has a curious penchant for diners and their fare, I decided to take her to Odessa as part of her birthday gift in order to smother her not only in the diner ambience, but in the pierogies, blintzes, and other Eastern European/Greek delights that she craves. While she was perfectly happy with her turkey burger deluxe, I was somewhat underwhelmed by my spanakopita. It tasted good, but it wasn't memorable (but what should I really expect? I think I often hope for too much). I will say, however, that the side salad, a melange of feta, anchovies, greens, and a scrumptious little stuffed grape leaf, was excellent. Our waiter was also energetic, with a sense of humor and a kind disposition. While admittedly I probably wouldn't return (the excitement has left me), I'm still glad I went.
