This is the best bang for your buck in midtown west. The large portions are enough for 2 people and try to get the lunch specials. The hot and sour soup is consistently good and the classic taste I remember. My personal favorite is the Shrimp (extra $) Singapore Mai Fun. For some reason this dish is never made too oily and is pretty spicy...the way I like it.

This was my first time ordering from Ocean Dragon and it was definitely one of the yummiest chinese takeout places in the west 50s! The BBQ spare ribs were great, especially for the price. Also their chicken mai fun was terrific. I'd skip the fried won tons though - they were crunchy but too tough. Delivery came quick enough, took about 20 mins. Definitely keeping this one on the takeout roster.

HK Represent! This place is good for a cheap, fast, Chinese food joint. To "Anonymous" below...it's General TSO'S chicken not General Zaos! How can anybody take your opinion seriously when you don't even know the name of the dish? Anyways, the General TSO'S chicken is actually pretty good, and very different. Their Hot & Sour is off the charts. Best H&S ever. Keep it simple, and you won't be disappointed.

we try lots of chinese on the UWS looking for that one that we want to order from each time - this is not it... spare ribs = way to fatty dumplings = medicore general zaos chicken = dark meet & almost too fatty & fried to eat... steamed tofu & veggies were fine but can you mess that up??? this is not the place really good/reliable chinese that being said, delivery was unbelievably fast (i think i hung up the phone before they arrived but i'd have to rethink - and we're on 70th street!)

The healthy menu choices are very good with dumpling sauce. Other menu items can be requested with very little oil. The service is fast and accurate and the food is consistently tasty. Overall Ocean Dragon provides good Chinese food at reasonable prices.

This restaurant is simply the best value for Chinese food available in the area. The food is good, though eating in may leave you feeling cramped, as there are only about 15 seats in the restaurant. Delivery times are unbeatable. It only takes about 15 minutes for large orders to get to my door. Order here if you want good Chinese for a great price.

this place is perfect if you live in the area and want fast and cheap delivery. the food is reasonably priced, standard chinese fare. they literally get to my apartment with delivery in 10-15 minutes. not a bad choice for fast cheap food.
