Price Up & Portions Smaller
Noticed the prices on the menu have gone up about 10% and the portions have gotten smaller. Dishes are still tasty and fresh.

Value for money!
Good place, decent food, large portion sizes. I might go back.

The Best Malaysian Food in NY
The closest to Malaysian food you can get outside Malaysia. We LOVED it so much we kept going back almost everyday till the day we left NY - at times for both lunch and dinner. It is so delicious and really reasonable to the hip pocket without compromising on quality and quantity. Totally recommend it to anyone especially Malaysians, Singaporeans who are visiting NY.

Totally unlike the old place
The new Nyonya, is nothing like the old one from across the street - which I believe burned down. My feeling is that the old owners, sold the name and brand "so to speak" to entirely new owners. Almost all of the dishes changed, atmosphere has become sterile and dry - and the previous chef or cooking staff has clearly moved on. Everything was so entirely greasy. Avoid.

Too much oil!
I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend and was very disappointed. I had the Mee Siam and my daughter had the Beef Chow Fun. Both dishes were glossy with oil. The Mee Siam was fairly tasty, but the Beef Chow Fun was heavy and rather unappetizing with all that oil. Maybe the noodles in soup dishes would have been a better choice - a lot of the diners had ordered them, and they did look good. I will not come back to this restaurant again. Although the prices of these meals were low, I have downgraded the the value rating; who wants disappointing food at any price?

lemak: do not order
Went to the restaurant and was disappointed that the "Lemak" I ordered came to be a stir fry. "Lemak" supposed to be a coconut base green/yellow curry and you add your choice of meats.

Grand Street steps up a notch
Am a regular Chinatown walker and we stopped by here for lunch yesterday. It was a welcome surprise in every way. After sharing a delicious appetizer of pungent crunchy fried squid she had the shrimps with ladies fingers Malaysian style sauteed okra with spicy malaysian shrimp paste sauce and I the Singapore rice noodles. The price is right, the service was attentive, the rest rooms immaculate and state of the art. Highly recommended.
