The atmosphere was amazing. the staff was impeccable and the surroundings were very romantic and relaxing (fireplace) incredible food, it's very reasonable prices for this quality food....Definitely I recommend this lovely restaurant

I have to disagree with the last two posts. I had a wonderful experience at Notaro. Great food, an absolutely wonderful server and a really nice atmosphere.

After waiting a full 20 minutes to get menus, I had a feeling this place was going to be a disappointment, and it was. There weren't that many other people in there, so there was no reason for the delay for getting our menus. We had to ask for them twice. Our appetizer, Mozzarella in Carrozza was actually delicious, but our cokes tasted funny, like they had expired cherry flavoring in them. My fettucine alfredo was 100% tasteless. I had to cover it in cheese, salt and pepper for me to know I was eating anything at all. It comes with shrimp and I asked for it without shrimp. The waiter asked me if I wanted chicken instead and I told him, "No, just plain." The fettucine arrived covered in chicken. The waiter realized the mistake and offered us a free dessert which was a nice touch. We turned it down because we were stuffed from cold bread and mediocre food. But he brought out the dessert anyway. It was tasty, but we didn't enjoy it as much as we could have because we weren't hungry and he stood over us talking to us while we ate it. He seemed like a nice guy, but it was a little awkward that he kept talking. I wouldn't go back here or recommend this place to anyone.

I don't mean to be a downer, especially since this place has pretty good reviews from others, however I ordered dinner from Notaro tonight and was really disappointed. I had the gnocci which was like starchy balls of potato...not what gnocci is supposed to be like. The sauce was okay, but didn't have a lot of flavor. I had a cannoli for dessert and it was stale. The filling was like melted ice cream and it was a little chunky. I won't be eating there again.

Everything from the décor to the service makes Notaro’s my absolute favorite Italian restaurant. I take everyone I love. The Notaro experience begins with a warm greeting by staff at the door. I personally love to sit at the back area next to the fireplace (this can very romantic when with a significant other, and is very cozy with family and friends). It's hard to choose my entree, but one of my favorite dishes is the Shrimp Scampi followed closely by Bocconcino de Pollo. And to satisfy my sweet tooth, I have the tiramisu. Exquisite! Notaro has unbeatable prix lunch and dinner menus (with a new early dinner menu from 4-6:30) that are comprised of a great assortment of selections. Everyone makes a genuine effort to make your experience satisfying. The truth is that Notaro has left a lasting impression, because no other restaurant compares with the quality of food and service that Notaro offers. I definatley recommend Notaro’s to everyone. Enjoy!

Went last weekend with a group of 6. We all ordered different entrees (shellfish, chicken, veal, fish). The food took a little while (since they make everything to order) but it came out HOT and delicious, and huge portions. I can't wait to go back! The homemade pasta was such a treat, the bread was fantastic, and the service was anything but rushed. Fantastic find.
