Very Good But
When we sat down a ramp pizza was on the menu and grilled ramps were offered, however by the time we were served ramp season was over. We dined here on Mother's Day and the kitchen must have been overwhelmed. The place is comfortable and not loud at all. The servers know the menu, are very courteous but items were leaving the kitchen so slowly that the servers were tentative to come to the table. The hostess and all servers were apologetic and tried to make a LONG wait for food right. The crab salad is amazing, the portions are fair and the whole grilled bronzino was wonderful. From the time we sat it took 2 hours to receive our entrees. The hostess "made right" with us however I am not sure we would ever return.

Disappointing
So disappointing. I had been looking forward to this meal for two months. I loved Tabla and was so excited that those same Indian flavors would be applied to another fish centric Danny Meyer restaurant. The menu reads beautifully with promise of an amazing meal. Unfortunately, mostly everything was bland. The Hamachi appetizer and whole sea bass were flavorless. Flaked Halibut had nice Indian flavors, but tiny. Service was wonderful...

Top notch management
I recently had lunch at North End with an associate of mine and 2 of my most important clients. It was really an overall positive experience- the decor is fantastic, table was immaculate, service was attentive and food was great. The server we had accidentally spilled a whole glass of red wine on the front of my suit but the service director made it a point to apologize in person and gave me her buisness card, offering to handle dry cleaning. She made it a point to follow up after I contacted her and sent me a HAND WRITTEN note with instructions for VIP attention next time I visit. Which I will soon. This type of courtesy is hard to come by in even some of the most expensive restaurants in NYC and I've been to many.

Great experience
First of all, the room and the kitchen are so beautiful. We had sashimi, halibut, clam pizza (so good), pork chop with a detached bone, and loved every bit of it. The chocolate cake was not stellar but the ice cream that was with it was wonderful. I would gladly return to try a few more delica-seas.

Disjointed Menu
Went for dinner the other night. Had a snack at the bar prior to being seated for dinner. The first thing I noticed was there seems to be a lack of direction with the food. Steak taco at the bar was tasty, small, however uninspiring. They claim to focus on fish but it seems to be more focused on brunch types of egg dishes, albeit good, it left me saying "ehh". My husbands duck was ok, however came out extremely undercooked...the fat was barely rendered. The waiter took care of it and was very frindly. We will go back but I really hope to see the menu tightened up and a little more soul put into the menu and place.
