Great Sushi and Good care sans the pretensiousness
Ate here with a date on a Saturday night. I was promptly seated due to my reservation. At first the place was somewhat empty, but was fully packed by the end of our dinner. Had the Sushi Deluxe and my date had the Sashimi Deluxe. Both were of high quality and were presented very well. The sake we chose as well was very good. The food is the best thing about this place. Value on the food you get for the price is the seoond best...there were many options of appetizers and rolls under $6. Service is a close third...Our waitress was attentive and available, and the owner was clearly available and helping around the restaurant, including opening the door for guests and keeping the curtains closed around the door cause it was a cold night. The decor is middle of the road, not bad, but not exceptional....however, the place is still romantic and somewhat quaint. There is also a sushi bar around the chefs, which was also filled up pretty quickly. Will def be back even though there are many sushi places in the neighborhood.

Better than the competition!
In an area with so many choices for reasonably priced sushi, Nori stands out for its quality and service.

Hidden Gem - GREAT!
We just stopped in by chance, and had a dish here with pineapple and raw salmon that was totally divine! The other food we ordered was all great and the atmosphere and service all made for wonderful find - definitely in my short list and will go back!

Great Deal, Great Service
Love the $1 sushi and attentve but intrusive service (my tea never reached the halfway mark). Also try the Gindara (Black Cod) appetizer.

Best Value Sushi in East Village
Ever since the 50% off place on 2nd Ave and 7th changed owners, I've been looking for a new value-minded sushi spot. Nori is it! The fish is always fresh, the rolls are top notch, and the prices are so low. Nori is a must visit! PS The lunch deal is the best.
