Been here twice and both times had to send back bad food. Their food is smothered in heavy sauces but underneath you have to wonder whats happening. The shrimp in my veg and shrimp dish tasted poor quality. I had a mixed dumpling dish another time and had to send it back after spitting it out. Also, very oily. Will not go back again, only went because my mom was in NYU hospital and we found this nearby.

Food is good, delivery could be better, but the phone person is rude.

Scallion panckes, shumai, all the noodles dishes....everything I have ever ordered here has been awesome. I like they prepare steamed chicken and brocolli without making it an oily nasty mess and the sauces on the side are always flavorful. Maybe the other people are going on an off night because I have lived in the area for 4 years and the food has been consistently good. Phone person could be a bit nicer, but theres always seamlessweb!

while the food is actually pretty good, especially for chinese in the area, the people that work there are extremely rude. the delivery is terrible...the food is cold/soggy when it arrives and the people on the phone are very rude, as they also are in the restaurant. don't go here or order from here if you don't want to get annoyed.

Last night was the first time I tried Noodles 28. I was actually heading down 3rd to THAINY where I have gotten many take out selections and have always been satisfied. I saw Noodles 28 across the street and decided to try it instead as I always like to try different places. That's how one discovers new gems. Well this didn't turn out to be a gem for me. I ordered the Hot & Spicy Vietnamese Sauce with chicken and chow fun noodles (take-out). The vegatables were soggy and saturated with oil and the noodles were all at the bottom of the container in a solid like mass. There was no distinguishable taste to anything, just slight texture differences. Although there were 3 or 4 hot dried peppers mixed in, they must have been added at the very last moment as there was no spicyness to the rest of the oil soaked glop. After reading some of the other reviews which sounded good, I can only conclude that it may have just been an off night for the place. However, I don't think I will risk trying it again. I have been trying different places in NYC for the past 5 years and last night was the worse food yet.

Scallion pancakes. I hesitate to even write this review, for fear that there will be less for me. But alas, the greater good must prevail.

Best fried vegetable dumplings in NY. I've never had a bad meal and I eat there at least once a month. The staff is very nice. The waitress even remembered that I don't take ice in my water.
