I am so mad that they are closed for renovation right now, but we order from here often (and have eaten in as well) and the chinese food is several notches better than the other cheap chinese places we order from. It's delicious, albeit basic. Also, the cold summer rolls appetizer and chicken and walnut roll appetizers are great, as are their dumplings, especially the mushroom kind (shumai maybe?). As for Vietnamese dishes, the bun xao is clean, scrumptious, and addictive, but make sure to ask for extra sauce cause there is never enough. Also the chef's specials, particularly the beef/steak ones, are all wonderful. Highly recommend.

Highly-recommended!! I've been a loyal customer at Noodles 28 in the two locations in NYC for more than five years for three simple reasons; 1) Delicious, fresh, authentic Chinese and Vietnamese food 2) Best bang for your buck 3) Fast, VIP service. For all those reviewers out there, you must be delusional. Whoever heard of a breaded- tofu? That's Japanese food, not Chinese. Subpar service? I always get consistently NICE waitstaff in both locations. TRY NOODLES ON 28 - you will NOT be disappointed.

Shame really, because the food is pretty good (the Vietanemese entrees are great; the dumplings are pretty much the usual, heavy, dumplings around everywhere these days). How hard can it be to be polite?

Expect no substitutions for no reason. Very annoying. Its all made to order, whats the difference?

I don't know what everyone's talking about, but, I've been coming to this place for over two years and have never been disappointed. The same waitresses are there. We always receive very attentive service. We ordered two orders of steamed veggie dumplings (2 of us dining)with peanut sauce on the side, grilled salmon with scallions and ginger, fried veggie vietnamese spring rolls. All food was fresh, hot, scrumptious! The salmon was amazing. If you've never been here, come and try it. I'm asian and I love it. A little pricey, though. $58.00 with tip for 2 for the above. But worth it!
