another Greek Italian Restaurant
Feta cheeze and spinach pie on the menu is always a dead giveaway and soggy pizza crust another. The sauce is VERY good though and their spaghetti was perfect. Meatballs need some work. Haven't had the sausage but maybe that's better. All in all, I was disappointed in the pie but the other pasta dishes so far (had lasange once too) were quite top notch. The pizza was HUGE for fourteen dollars and if you put it in the oven a while, the crust gets better. I think they need to make their crust a little thinner and cook it longer and they'll have a winner (oh add some corn meal too).

Must try the lasagna
Walked by and stopped in for a couple slices one day, and they were top notch. Great, fresh, quality ingredients. I decided to give their lasagna a shot and I have to say, I swear they stole the recipe from my grandmother. The sauce is flavorful, beef is seasoned well and the amount they give you is off the charts. Every time a friend is visiting from out of town I always take them there for "authentic" New York pizza and recommend you do the same!

Real NY Pizza- best in the LES
Square Margherita pie is a must! Grandma's recipe they call it. Best value is the side order of Meat Balls - comes with a small loaf of bread smothered in their homemade sauce (best in the whole area) for about $6. But add the fresh Mozzarella for another buck- crazy tasty and can be a lunch in itself. I get a pie every week- and will continue to. I have tried all the local favs for years- they all pale in comparison to Nonna's- get it!

Best Pizza in New York Hands Down!
I've had Lombardi's. I've had Patsy's. Don't get me wrong, they're really good. But Nonna's is the best pizza in New York hands down! Grandma slices at their best! They have the highest quality ingredients, and make their own fresh mozzarella in the back. My girlfriend and I eat it at least once or twice a week. We're addicted.

Surprisingly Awesome
I alway would run by on my way to the east river. I only rated the atmosphere as a 3.0 because of no other reason than it not being a date kind of spot. However, the pizza is SO good. I usually get the square margarida. I am surprised I enjoy it so much. I usually order from Pulino's or Little Frankie's which is brick oven and the ingredients a little more sparse. Nonna's has amazing sauce and crust and the pizza is reheatable. Which I love because the pizza size is really big compared to the other spots. The people who answer the phones are really nice. I've also ordered sauteed spinach or brocoli and everytime, it's been very fresh too.

GREAT basic NYC pizza
love this pizza - tried a bunch of different ones and liked them all. we order from here all the time though they changed the entire menu fairly recently and some items haven't kept up (the penne a la vodka was not the best the last time we ordered but usually does not disappoint). calzones and big and stuffed. meatballs are good. really good value and fast delivery.
