    Dissapointing

Mediocre, generic food. Plus the place has about as much ambiance as an East Side Mario's.

    Consistently Wonderful!

One of our favorite places, great food, friendly warm staff, and fantastic food. I'm a huge fan of the lasagna and my wife bounces between the aribiatta and whatever special catches her eye. I've always received great recommendations on wine bottles and if I've narrowed it down to two or three they have never recommended the priciest option. A great restaurant with no attitude in a neighborhood that needs a lot more places like Nonna!

    should've been better

too much oil. too much garlic (first time i've thought that in my entire Italian life). not the right sense of seasoning. Just not good enough for a return trip. For what it's worth, I didn't see a single Italian working or eating there.

    Great Deals!

I went there around 10 on a Monday, because I had a pleasant experience before, and we were told that Mondays are halfprice wine days. Wine prices are already decent. With the shared antipasto plates it came up to around $60 bucks with wine and tips included. Perfect for a late evening meal. Service was good, though not hovering, and eating outside on a warm summer night is very much enjoyable. I love their roasted garlic.

    a real gem!

Nonna is one of the upper west side best kept secrets. I go there with my boyfriend all the time and the ambience is really great. People need to try their chopped antipasto salad, arancini & the shrimp fettucine has the perfect spice, not too over the top. The servers are busy most of the time, but they go out their way to make sure we are okay. go check it out!

    Great Food, Poor Service

The food was good, but it took an hour just to get the appetizer... the table next to us said the same thing..

    Delicious corned beef hash

I see that Nonna gets excellent dinner reviews, but we actually dined here for Sunday brunch while visiting the Natural History Museum. I have never really liked corned beef hash, but my husband ordered some because he loves it, and we both were pleasantly surprised - it has to be among the best we've ever had. Go figure! Our baby daughter devoured the yummy tator tots and I had a nice and simple salad with chicken paillard. Our service was very attentive. We would definitely visit Nonna again, and maybe try the spaghetti and meatballs.
