    Delicious food! warm ambience-

I had dinner here on Saturday night and it was quite close to perfect. The food was very good- the brik appetizer was excellent! Our entree of lamb and prunes was a good combination - The service was great- our waitress was very attentive as was the rest of the staff- the ambience was warm and the music and decorations added a nice backdrop to a delightful evening. My fiance and I will definitly be back to try more on the menu-

    So good

Fava bean app was yummy... poached egg in sausagey stew app was very yummy... Lamb and date tajine was very yummy... Couscous royal was reasonably yummy, but the "sauce" was disappointingly thin -- more like soup. The clincher for us was that after telling us that they didn't have any hot chocolate (they don't) our waitress spoke to the chef and he custom made us a cup of hot chocolate from the realbaker's chocolate in the kitchen. It was as sinfully yummy as my Americano was weak (cup too big, shot too small?). All in all we felt well loved and left with lambaliciously full bellies. Some room for improvement, but a solid dinner.

    Great atmosphere, food was ok

This restaurant has great ambience - even the bathroom looks very nice and is decorated in Middle Eastern style. Food was ok but not spectacular. Service was excellent, but that might have been because we were the only people in the restaurant.

    Great New North African Restaurant

Having visited North Africa three times and loving the food, I was happily surprised to discover that Nomad delivers the goods authentically. This is no surprise, considering that the owner is Algerian, the manager Tunisian, and the chef Moroccan. We loved the lamb with prune tajine, but just as importantly discovered the first REAL mint tea in New York. No North African restaurant is authentic without good mint tea, a near-addictive drink that people in the region drink nonstop. The waitress and the manager were more than friendly and also knew their stuff. Definitely looking forward to a return visit and recommending the place to my friends.

    Everything was fabulous!

I totally recommend this place! I agree with the other poster that the octopus was awesome! as was everything else we orderd (gazpacho, the vegetable appetizers, the crab cakes, skewered shrimp...)! Yum! The decor was relaxing, it was quiet, the service was fantastic... I can't say enough about what a nice experience I had at Nomad! I recommend it for a date and/or with a small group of friends. You won't be disappointed!

    Get the Octopus appetizer special

I am not a big octopus fan, but we came here for a small party and it was going around the table as one of the appetizers. I think this may be a daily special, but it was incredible. INCREDIBLE! It was grilled with a delicious sauce. It was tender, not rubbery at all, and succulent.
