great east village find
We took the kids for something other than the typical Italian or Japanese, and had an outstanding time. The service and food was outstanding. We look forward to going back.

Delightful garden, weak veggie options
Excited to try Nomad. We ate in the cozy garden - delightful atmosphere. The menu is now reduced from what is currentlly posted on their website and we had the unfortunate discovery that there were absolutely no vegetarian entrees on the menu, so that was disappointing and seems like a pretty big oversight these days. But, my friend managed to cobble together two veggie starters to compensate, including the yummy couscous salad. The lamb and prune tagine was tasty, if a little too heavy on the sweetness of the prunes for my palette. Service was good with constant water refills (always appreciated). All in all, turned out to be a good dinner and a lovely evening.

Delicious Moroccan food!
Loved this restaurant- the couscous with merguez sausage was terrific, the Moroccan crabcakes excellent, and the chicken briwats were great. Their take on the Brik was light and the egg inside was luscious. The atmosphere was very pleasant- you will feel like you got away from the city for a while. Service was personal and friendly. A great Moroccan/North African restaurant.

Nomad was great
Had a small party here and it was a great experience. The owner was wonderful and helped with everything. The food and staff were outstanding. Don't live in the area otherwise it would be a favorite dining sport. Have great memories of the place and event and really grateful for how owner and his staff helped us and made it a special day.

oulala
four of us went there: we were all excited: three of us are from algeria and marocco, so we know about mediterranean food and couscous. I must say the couscous itself was not cooked properly, the sauce was very watery and not tasty at all, even the pastry was very poor. The price was very high!! Pity

So so experience
I took my parents to nomad on their first visit to New York last week but we weren't impressed. The couscous I got was bland with not much flavor and my parents lamb tajines were just ok. We love Moroccan cuisine but it continues to be difficult to find a place that delivers its real authentic delicacies.

Such a find
After reading a few reviews of Nomad on Citysearch and here on Menupages I've been dying to try Nomad for awhile. I ate in the garden with 3 friends and it was great, if a little dark once the sun set. The service was very attentive and very friendly. We tried the crabcake appetizer, the merguez lamb couscous, the vegetable couscous, the chicken pastilla, and the chicken and olive tajine. I loved the pastilla, although the others were a little surprised at the fact that it was sweet. The couscous was very good and next time I think I will try the lamb and prune couscous. The chicken tajine was very tender and flavorful. Altogether it was a very enjoyable evening, made better by the service and the atmosphere.
