Noche Mexicana

I order from this place all the time because it is fast, cheap and delicious! I've never had a problem with them understanding my order, and they are polite both on the phone and when delivering. I can't vouch for the atmosphere since I've never actually been to the restaurant itself, but if you want awesome, cheap and authentic Mexican takeout on the upper west side, look no further.

The food is good, but they just really need people answering phones who speak english. Only order if you don't want to be frustrated and don't mind the order being wrong (or going to the wrong building)!

Can't say enough about this place. Yes, their english can be a bit choppy, but this is NYC so you can't expect everyone to speak perfect english. I always either order delivery or pick it up to go. The nachos are delicious, as are the burritos (I've tried 5 different ones and loved them all), and the portions are HUGE so I always have leftovers. The decor in the restaurant isn't anything special, but who cares when the food is this good!

I was SO excited to find this restaurant. I've been looking for great Mexican on the UWS and this is it! Fast service, good service and - most importantly - GREAT food. I recommend the fajitas - they were awesome.

For the price, you can't beat this place. Authentic! Great delivery.

This was our 1st time ordering and what a great suprise. The burrito was thick and meaty with all fresh ingredients. The chicken fajita came with nicely cooked peppers and onions with rice and beans. All the food was very fresh tasting - a cut above the usual mexican takeout. We had delivery so I cant rate the atmosphere. Delivery was fast and the man on the phone was very courteous.

WOW! I just discovered this gem! I've always ordered from Taqueria, but some of the dishes (Nachos) are totally lacking.. so I tried this place for the nachos.. WOW. They are packed with ingredients could use a little more cheese sometimes tho, but excellent. The only complaint I really have is the jalepenos are sometimes soooo vinegary I can't eat them. I've ordered the chalupas, flan, shakes (strawberry), huevos rancheros, tortas (ham and cheese), chillate soup, tacos, burritos and quesadillas... the only thing I hated was the chillate soup. Stay away if you can't handle a big peice of chicken on the bone (ick!) dropped in some hot soupy water. I'm a priss.. I like my food/meat deboned, defatted and Americanized. The quesadillas are AMAZING!! The blend of cheeses is a little sweet and is like a cousin of a calzone.. and the large homemade corn tortillas tastes wonderful! This is a great place, because they use a mix of oxaca (white farmers cheese) and jack cheese for us who like Americanized mex food. The chalupas are good too, but I wish they sold them individually instead as a plate of 3. As for delivery? I don't know what people are talking about. In all my deliveries, I have only had a slight problem once. A woman took my order and she spoke to me half in Spanish and half in English, but it was OK. Usually, there is a guy taking the orders and it he is polite and speaks English just fine.
