very good food
Have ordered from them a couple times now and eaten in two or three times. The atmosphere at the restaurant is bland, but the food is very good and comes at a good price -- equals an excellent value.

For Delvery: Good Service, Average Food
Decided to try out a new place for Mexican food delivery on the UWS. The order was taken easily via phone (no background noise, no language comprehension issues, courteous order taker) and Noche Mexicana delivery was pretty quick (<25 minutes, 15 blocks away) for late evening (9:30), mid-week (Tuesday). Selecting from the burrito portion of the menu we tried a Tinga Burrito (shredded chicken in tomato chipotle sauce), and a Burrito Picadillo (shredded beef) along with chips & salsa. The food arrived neatly packaged, freshly prepared and still warm, in separate plastic-covered foil containers. (No spillage, no inadvertent mixing.) The food was okay, but no better than average in terms of taste or quality. (Slight preference for the Burrito Picadillo, which seemed fresher.) The chips did not appear to be homemade; salsas acceptable, but not fresh-made. The prices were reasonable,($9 per burrito, $3 for chips/salsa--total order $23 not including tip) if a little higher (.50 per item) from other comparable Mexican places I've tried in the neighborhood. I suppose better service (ease of order taking, promptness of delivery, accuracy of order, better packaging) comes at a slightly higher cost. I’ll probably try this place a couple or three more times over the course of the summer, order from different parts of the menu, and hopefully will get to stop by for an in-restaurant trial. The food was fine, but based on this one time nothing I look forward to having again. Best thing to recommend about this place was the really good delivery service, but ultimately I’d probably sooner take my chances with more erratic service from a place I know has really, really good food. Overall Rating: Solid 3.0

wonderful, wonderful food.
easily the best mexican on the upper west side, if not manhattan. fresh, savory, delicious, everything (chips, tortillas, etc) homemade. bilinqual receptionist, fast delivery. many options under $10, (as a vegetarian, i normally eat for $6-7) and you'll either be stuffed or have leftovers. i order religiously.

Good service, great price, food so so
Went here after all the great reviews. I have to say that I was overall disappointed. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing? The faijitas were not good-had steak and chicken, both meats were dry and overall unflavorful. The tamales were decent. The beans, rice, chips and gauc were really good. Wasn't so upset because it was quite cheap. I will not be back. The search continues for good Mexican in NYC...

Best Mexican Food Around
Great burritos, terrific guacamole, really interesting pumpkin flower quesadillas. All tastes extremely authentic (to me, anyhow.) The sandwiches are also swell, but beware of the smoked jalapeno on there; it's a killer. Half the price of any competitor, and best of all, NO MARIACHIS!

One of the best mexican places in the city!
This is my go to mexican place. First off, I love that it is authentic mexican and not tex-mex, huge difference and way better. The portions are huge and the prices are great. I highly recommend the chorizo nachos, tacos al pastor, the chalupas, and the sangria soda(non-alcoholic).
