We went here for the first time and I keep on going back. I love the atmosphere as well as the menu. It is a very european feel and tourists don't crowd it up. It is definitely a neighborhood crowd and I highly recommend it to my friends and friends from out of town for a spot that is relaxed and not swamped with out-of-towners. The food and service are exceptional and the owners are always walking around to say hello - which in NYC is very rare!

This place is fantastic! The staff really makes you feel at home... very personable, attentive, yet not overbearing. I've tried 5 different dishes here, and they've all been tremendous, but the Rigatoni ala Vodka is literally the best pasta dish I've ever had!

i went to the movies with my wife and on the way home we passed this place so we decided to go in and have a bite since there were a couple tables available. we both had cozze della casa. we enjoyed it but my wife said there was too much wine in her portion but other than that it was good. i also liked the wine selection. plus the service was courteous and prompt!

I went in last week with my brother and had some food here. The service was just regular - not great, not bad. The waiter actually helped us pick out nice glasse of wine. The food...Polo Carretiera was worth every penny!

my husband ,Frank and I decided on Nocello,s after our favorite place had closed. We started witha bottle of wine and a seafood salad appetizer. My husband had the Veal del borgo with roasted potatoesand grilled vegetables ..I loved Farfalle Alexander ,(shrimp, asparasgus &olive oil &garlic). Both meals were delicious and priced reasonally. We had a expresso ,cappuccino, anisette, and a cream bruelle to top off the meal. perrfectto. We recommend Nocello for romantic atomsphere , fine food ,and excellant service. thanks again , frank and laurette

My wife and I went here for our first anniversary dinner. I chose this restaurant based on a number of positive reviews classifying it as "romantic" and "pre-theatre" which was exactly what we were looking for since we were going to a show. We both couldn't have been happier with our choice. The staff had a table waiting for us and were very attentive to our table. The bread and olives were very good. The wine [select]ion was good. We went with a Chianti that we were very pleased with. I had a rigatoni in pink sauce that exuded flavors from the sausage, mushrooms, peas, etc. My wife chose one of the specials (there were 4-5) which was lobster over pasta in a red sauce that was excellent. There was a ton of lobster in it and although it was a little pricey in comparison to some of the other pastas (34.50), the amount of lobster and the overall size of the dish made the price fair. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was very romantic and the service was great. We were easily out of there in an hour and a half and in plenty of time to hop in a cab and be in time for the show.
