Not Authentic
I've ordered from this place twice and both times, I was very disappointed at the quality of the food. The noodle soup and the kung-pao chicken were both too salty and lacking in flavor. I threw away this menu and will not go back.

Great Chinese Food for a little extra
I work downtown and I try to eat here a couple of times a month. The food is definitely on a higher scale than what you'd find at most counter-top Chinese restaurants, but the price is also a bit higher for most dishes. If you don't mind paying for quality, then this is a great place to get your "General Tso's Chicken" fix.

Not Worth The Price!
I read the reviews here before ordering, but maybe they are too ancient. I ordered to be delivered and the food "left a lot to be desired". The food was partially cold and we are only a couple of blocks from the place the egg roll seemed preheated in a microwave as well as the so called pork fried rice (which had pieces of pork and eggs that didn’t look so fresh) and the big chunks of chicken….well I could not eat more than 2. Definitely not worth the price!!! I’ll buy another lunch after this review.

Fresh Food, Great Price
We tried No. 1 Little House one night recently and the food was great. It was very fresh and hot off the stove. The service was promt and the waitress was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant next time you're in the mood for Chinese in the Financial District! There is plenty of room in the restaurant and it has a good atmosphere, so try a night out instead of take out.

Love it!
Very good food, insanely fast delivery, and decent prices make this a wonderful change of pace from most Chinese places in the area. We've lived in the Financial District for 20 years and like to think we've tried all the low-to-mid-cost Chinese delivery around--this one definitely gets my vote!

Best Chinese for Downtown
I have worked downtown for 3 years now. I consider this to be the best Chinese food I have tried in the area. The egg drop soup is too salty but everything else I have had is made quite well. I would recommend Number 1 chinese to all...

Consistently Good Food
Have been to this place quite a bit and the food has been consistently good. When working late and ordering they manage to deliver in an amazingly short time. Seating for lunch can be a bit tight but as long as you have a small group 2-3 people, generally don't have to wait too long. Full service at take-out prices.
