Noisy, but decent food
After reading one of your reviewers opinion of the wild boar lasagne, we tried it. It was nothing special. We did have some appetizers that were good and my brazino with braised fennel was great! Portion sizes were perfect for me. I do not like "take homes". We left to have dessert elsewhere as it was too noisy for my husband and myself to conduct a conversation.

I had high hopes
for Nizza after readings reviews on this site. I went there on April 8th about 8:30 p.m. The service was good but the food disappointed us. We had the Socca, hanger steak, margarita pizza and a special that gnocchi. Socca was good. The pie was bland. The hanger steak was okay but overcooked. The gnocchi wasn't gnocchi at all, even though server said it was. It was spinach mixed with ricotta with a thin film of mozz. on top and baked. When I asked the server about it, she admitted that they called it gnocchi but that it really wasn't. Anyhow, the "gnocchi" were no good. I really wanted Nizza to be every good thing I read about but unfortunately, it wasn't.

delicious food, great wine!
When Nizza opened i was excited to try it out. Our first experience was wonderful. Original menu, the servings are 3/4 size of a regular entree (which was perfect for me since i can never finish) and delicious! Sophisticated dishes at a decent price. The crowd is good, wine recommendations were great. I loved the crab ravioli and tapenade. pizza was also yummy! I wouldn't recommend the bibb salad. deserts were delicious. Wait staff is usually friendly and knowledgable. We did however, have one bad experience with a bitchy waitress who made several mistakes with our order. All in all its my new favoraite place to eat and drink in hells kitchen and have been back many many times- sometimes even just for wine and apps.

Never Dull
Four visits and never disappointed - a record for me in this city. Servings on the modest side, but enough for any but the fullback in the crowd. Besides, that way you have room to sample more. The only complaint: Wine by the glass (red) was always too warm - They keep the opened bottles on the bar right on or under hot lights. (Somebody fix this!). But by the bottle the temperature was perfect. In all- can't wait to go back.

word is getting outDARN!
Really good. Sister of Marseille, another really good place. Staff excellent, wine selection unusual but good value pricing. Food doesn’t read great on the menu, but tastes great. Don’t want to rave too much for fear of crowds, but have to give credit when it’s due.

Great place!
I loved this little place. It's very cute inside and the waitstaff was extremely friendly and fun. Very good food and great value. They don't take reservations for smaller parties (under 6) but we got a table immediately on a Wednesday night. Try this place!

First time and I will be back
Last night after drinks with friends, they became hungry. I suggested this new Italian place that opened up. Everyone was up for it and by the end of the night, they were happy that they went to NIzza. We sat down right across from the door which was perfect spot for this group of gay boys when we saw all the cuties coming in. The service was good. Our waitress explained everything to us. She was attentive and sweet. The decor was cute. Makes me wonder who has to clean those bottles all over the place. We were given the menus and we were surprised how cheap everything was for Hell's Kitchen. It was great. I had the swiss chard torta as an appetizer which was warm and delicious. I was adventurous and I tried the wild boar lasagna for the entree. I was so glad that I made that choice. It was so good, I just wanted to lick the bowl. It was creamy and juicy and the pasta was just right. The wild boar added a great taste to the lasagna. It didn't have an overabundance of cheese and sauce like you would find in other italian restaurants, it was just perfect. Definitely try the wild boar lasagna. The others were happy with their meals as well. The only thing I heard was good things coming from them. The only complaint was that there was no bread in the beginning. I don't care. When the dessert menu came by, I was stuffed but since it was a new restaurant, I felt that I had to do it in order to get the complete experience. Once again, our waitress was good, she explained each and every dessert. I tried the affogato which was bascially crunchy ice cream with a cappucino sauce. Yumm yumm. I will definitely go back again.
