Amazing Place for Friends and Family

This restaurant's interior brings to mind a feeling of freshness, very modern looking decor with clever play of light and a dark wood floor. At the end of the bar, the place extends like a welcoming cape with a beautiful fire place area and comfy sofas. The bar tender makes some extraordinary drinks with Mango juice. Very inviting place for group dinner or lunch AND their food is very delicious. Fish cooked in coconut sauce is amazing. I also tried lamb chops and it was very tender, well marinated and well cooked. I will definitely go back to this place with a lot of friends.

    Indian Lounge ....

UK has many indian places with cool lounges but NYC never had any hip indian lounge with good dining place. I was just walking around midtown when I found this place and I and I have to say I really liked it. Food is great with the same authentic indian taste but what I could not fathom is the way they had managed to bring fine dining cuisine and a great lounge together. I sat in the lounge , had a few drinks and then went upstairs to complete my dinner. pros service is great, they pay attention to you, they interact and make you feel important cons definitely nothing now I just hope these guys keep this place as it is now. This is definitely the current trendy place. oh yeah forgot to mention. these guys have rabbit and venison cooked in indian style. I had rabbit and it was awesome. The next time I will try venison.

    Wow.. Spanking New Find

This new place truly reflects its name... Nirvana all the way. The place is has the best decor by far I've ever seen in an Indian restaurant. Some exotic dishes on the menu, stuck with the traditional dishes, it was DIVINE....!! The lounge and the dining area upstairs along with the flavorfull dishes is the Ultimate Mordern Indian package in NYC...Great Going Nirvana.... keep up the good work!!

    INCREDIBLE

My friend and I went last night after finding Nirvana on opentable.com the food was incredible, it is a long time since I have had so many good things to say about a new restaurant. We started with the samosas and and a potato and lamb croquet both were delicious we followed that with chicken Madras and shrimp bhuna I am still dreaming about the dishes!! The service was a little slow in the beginning but they are only 2 weeks old. If you are looking for great Indian you need to look no further

    a breath of fresh air!

I was rather impressed with the contemporary Indian decor. The food was good and I enjoyed their fish. I would go back to the place again for sure.

    Nice atmosphere and service

I just went in for a drink and some dessert. Decor is nice, a little dark. Dining available downstairs (along with bar) and also upstairs. Dessert was good. Bartender was really, really nice. Wish I could have stayed longer.
