The sister restaurant to Tabata Ramen in Hells Kitchen, this is their "upscale" entry to the NYC Restaurant scene, and a welcomed addition to the usually pretty bland Broadway eatery line-up. They have an incredibly varied menu, with something for everybody. I noticed a large contingent of Japanese tourists and businessmen at happy hour, always a good sign. They have a very interesting setup, with a large bar for Happy Hour, where I often like to eat as well. Then theres a formal dining area, a small, separate sushi bar, and a private tamami room, which seems to be quite popular with parties and their Japanese clientele. I found the crew very nice and friendly, always a "plus." I try something different nearly every time I'm there, but their pork belly ramen is probably the best I've ever had in Manhattan, truly delicious. After work, for cocktails with friends, or before or after a Broadway show, it's a good bet, and right across the street from the long-running, "Wicked." Try it, you'll like it.
