frozen food reheated...crab cakes with no crab

I was there on Saturday night with my wife. We live in the neighborhood and decided to try it. The srevice was awful as if the waiter had forgotten we were sitting there. I had to get up to ask for water, olive oil, etc.... i was never asked how the food was. It was dropped off and didnt see the waiter for over 25 minutes at one point. the crab cakes were all bread...no crab at all. The chicken parm was clearly frozen and reheated....couldnt even cut it with a knife. Aside from the service being awful and the food being terrible, the only good thing about this place was the pizza (because it is the only thing made fresh to order there) I do not know how this place is in business with so many great restaurants in NYC. I will never return bc the pizza is still better at patsys or angelos..

    Good food, poor service

2nd time at Ninos, and my last. The food is good- your typical Italian, nothing extraordinary. But the service is just sub par. It was miserably hot inside the restaurant- we complained 3 times, and nothing. Our appetizer did not make it to the table- when we asked the waiter what happened, he blamed it on the kitchen staff and said they forgot. So he then brought out the appetizer in the middle of our entrees. Asked for hot sauce three times. Asked for our water to be filled twice. To top it off, we were charged twice for our 1 tea and coffee, so we sent the check back. No apologies from anyone. I won't be coming back.

    3rd strike... you're out

3rd strike and youre out...been to "Nino" 3 times and the 3rd was the nail in the coffin. 1st time service was sketchy and slow but food was not bad (pasta). 2nd time had a party of 12 and waited 2 hours to be served dinner but again...food not bad (salmon). 3rd time service was some of worst i've seen in the city. Waiters barely spoke english and for some reason we had 5 waiters...obviously since 1 waiter cant handle the work load. Order came and was completely wrong & had to wait 30 minutes before they could switch out my tuna to the salmon i had ordered. Better off ordering in or maybe calling in a bomb threat...i joke...

    delicious and satisfying!

I went here with friends on a Saturday night and had a great time. We had pasta, chicken, calamari and the presentation for all three was fantastic. The service was good and they had an extensive wine list of American, French, and Italian wines. And they even had a baseball game playing on a small TV near the kitchen! We would definitely go back in the future!!

    Delivery Pizza

Nearly an hour after we placed our order our super small "medium" pizza arrived, cold. Salad was good, but the whole tiny pizza and salad cost $27 after tip. No value here.
