An experience unlike anything in NYC. With virtually no signs at the entrance, an elevator ride that takes you to the underground lair, and ninjas coming out of the shadows as you walk in complete darkness, Ninja is great fun. Cheesy jokes mixed with fireworks from friendly staff complement the great presentation of the food. Everything was great and worth every penny! The only problem is that after the dinner at Ninja, we still were hungry and had to go and buy a slice of pizza across the street.

I have no clue why these people are being so negative on one of the best Japanese Cuisine Themed Restaurants in New York city. Yes, it is not cheap, but its worth all the money. The food looked and tasted PERFECT, especially when your order the 5 course meals. Yes, the ninja's are interactive, but where else would you be able to receive a great social atmostphere from a conservative culture. You are seated in your own "ninja room", which gives you an intimate feeling but you'll also feel as if you were a part of the village by the decor of the restaurant. If you are not into the whole theme, then DONT COME. Expect a lively, hospitable, and fun staff. With a few of their signature drinks, maybe some sake tastings, the magic tricks will end up EXTRA FUN. This has got to be the best restaurant I have ever been to and I recommend it to EVERYONE.

Went here for a friend's birthday party. The atmoshphere and decor were very nice, and the waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. Service was excellent. The food was another story. The food wasn't that great and the portions were way too small. It was definitely not worth the money. Oh, and as for the "entertainment", a ninja jumping out and scaring you when you get off the elevator will probably be the highlight of your evening.

My friends and I went there last night... Even though the cave-looking inside was kinda cool, we had to wait for drinks to come for 30 min, appertisers for another 30 min, food for another 30 min (not kidding)... Food was away over-priced for the taste and portion. We are never going back there. I guess it is a place for people who just wanna see different atomosphere.

I am a concierge at a very prestigous hotel in Midtown. I have been to Ninja for a concierge event. I loved it so much i've sent at least 100 couples there. I talk about it so much that i had to go there for my birthday with my siblings. It was better than the last time. A little pricey but definitely worth it. So get your dollars and appetites ready for some great food in a fun atmosphere.

Its nice to have your own little room and the place looks great. Other than that, theres not much to compliment. Straight up, the food is not good. Id say mushy and bland would be perfect to describe the overall taste. The waitstaff are very cute and friendly, almost as if your hanging out with old friends. Its almost like a faux fancy haunted house with crummy japanese food. Go just to see the decor but dont order a huge tasting menu because its a complete waste.
