Great food at a great price
Niles never lets me down. I have eaten here several times and am always satisfied. The service is wonderful and they have a great atmosphere.I love the penne dish, the cheese plate for 2 is more than satisfying ( my boyfriend couldn't even finish his burger) which was juicy and Delicious. As a matter of fact I think I'll order some lunch today. :)

Disappointing
I went for lunch with friends, and while the prices weren't unreasonable, the food was not good. Only one person at my table seemed to enjoy what they had, and nobody ordered anything that seemed complicated (salads and sandwiches). The staff that was higher up kept checking in on us to ask if we were enjoying our meal, while the waiters were rude. It was better than most of the places in the area (we were limited by people needing to be by Penn Station) but I will not be returning.

Great cocktails, excellent service and good food!
After a hellish afternoon in the naked city I joined a group of friends before catching the railroad home and we loved this place! The cocktails are great, the service is excellent and the food is very good. It is an excellent change from the all the fast joints in the area. You 'll get a good meal for a reasonable price. The place was surprising relaxed and pleasant for the location.

This is the place to go!
If you are attending an event at Madison Square Garden, this is the place to have dinner. There is nothing in the neighborhood that compares. The food is just great and there is a wide variety, service is wonderful and it is moderately priced. Very nice bar area as well. I've gone many times with friends and we've never been disappointed.

hoped for better
I had lunch here last week. Great atmosphere for a restaurant across Madison Square Garden. The hostess was very nice and accommodating. Once our order was taken the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive. (This was a business lunch and I don't like to put pressure on my clients since they have to get back to their offices.) The food itself was less than memorable. The salmon was more than dried out, it was like eating sawdust. All I asked was that it was cooked through, not drained of all its moisture. The sauce on the plate tasted almost like cambells tomato soup. After finishing, our waiter never re-appeared. I had to ask another server walking by for our check. There's room for improvement here.

Tries too Hard
In the wasteland of Penn Station, we were hopeful that this place would be a find. The bar atmosphere was great and the staff very nice, friendly and attentive. Though the food could have been better. I guess it was a great "value" but I would have preferred higher prices for better food, or simpler food that tried less hard to be fabulous. Would not make a special trip for the food, and would avoid going back...
