    Awful

Overpriced brunch. Dry chicken dry waffles, burnt coffee, subpar mimosa. It ruined the rest of my day.

    So Embarassed

I used to enjoy this place, even though they used to add their own tips bill for parties of any size, still, the food was good and you were full when you left. This weekend I had friends come to Brooklyn. They enjoy good food so I decided to bring them here. I was so embarrassed. It started when the waitress did not know what liquors were at the bar. She had to keep running back and forth to ask -- and we weren't asking for anything unusual. The biggest disappointment was the food -- all of it, the fried chicken (which used to be good) was dry and tasteless. The fried catfish was described as tasting like a fast food fish sandwich, the steamed spinach was boiled and gritty and the mac and cheese tasted like someone tried to make it for the first time. The food was really bad.

The fried catfish was described as tasting like a Burger King fish sandwich, the steamed spinach was boiled and gritty and the mac and cheese tasted like someone tried to make it for the first time. I guess since they are the last remaining soul food place in Ft Greene they feel they don’t have to try anymore. The food was really bad.
