Favorite restaurant
I have been coming here for 40 years and it has been consistently delicious. Special occasions, first dates, every day casual, business- it fits all.

best chicken parm in the city
I have been a regular at Nicolas for years and I have never had a bad experience. Amazing food and great service. Unbelievable chicken parm. Their specials are always great too. It gets busy though so best to make a reservation after 7pm.

Best old school
The best veal in town. Parmigiana, Milanese, w eggplant any way. Freshest fish, great clam sauce or shrimp marinara. Terrific pastas. Great service (especially if they know you). Occasional stars and great big drinks.

i'm a fan
The Veal Emiliana is out of this world- thinly sliced scallops cooked to perfection. No one serves green beans like Nicola's which also give you a decent sized glass of wine. Yes, it can be a bit noisy, but the tables are placed so you can still have a private conversation and the staff is quite attentive, many have been there a long time. I have been going there for years and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or service.

Great neighborhood spot!
Nicolas has been around forever, but its obvious why they are still open. Their food is always made with great quality food and the service if great. Best dish- Veal Parm- Its incredible and totally worth everybite, clams are always fresh and so is the fish. I wouldn't travel far to get here but if you're in the neighborhood nothing seems easier if you want more than a joint! Great Sunday night spot for wine and yummy food!! Atmosphere was given a 3 not because its ugly or dirty its just veryyy old school!! You should definitely check it out!
