one of best sandwich places downtown

i've been to this place over 100 times and it's always good. someone just posted that it's expensive and half the price in brooklyn... i don't how broke or cheap this person must be to say that. the sandwiches cost $3.95!!!! that being said i am posting this simply to say i love this place, the people are super nice and whoever said it's expensive needs to get a job and stop bitching. seriously, who says a $4 sandwich is expensive????

    Wow!

This is really expensive..... Viet food in Brooklyn is half the price. The food is pretty much the same. But if you dont have the time to go all the way to Brooklyn then I guess its worth it. Lucky I only live within walking distance to 3 viet resturants.

    delicious

really good. i agree with the below about the friendly service... i usually have to get 2 sandwiches though, but it's okay bc it's only $8...

    Super

Great taste for the price, other sandwiches in the city are upwards of 8 dollars. For those that think this is small you should reexamine your portion sizes. This place is great and quick for lunch.

    Not worth the wait

I waited 30 min for my banh mi. 30 minutes for a sandwich? You're better off making the trek to Chinatown to get an authentic banh mi rather than one re-packaged for East Village "hipster" taste. Disappointing.

    Value through the roof!

As you bite into one of their delicious sandwiches or tasty rolls, just remind yourself that you only paid 6 bucks for the meal. It's great tasting food at a great price. I'll continue to order from them as long as we're both in the neighborhood.

    A Must visit or delivery

First and foremost, the person taking the order was so incredibly friendly and happy - something that NEVER happens in nyc. Secondly, despite living outside of their delivery zone (i am in union square) he was more than happy to make the trek. When the food arrived (a mere 30 minutes later) the sandwiches were still toasted and warm. Everything from the service to the bahn mi and summer rolls were excellent. This should be on your must-eat list!
