What happened?
I have been going to this place for years. The normally extremely friendly owner must have been in a bad mood tonight. He totally ignored the tables and the waiters were non-existent. The chicken was over-cooked, of poor quality, and the pizza was without taste. Our entire party of 10 did not like it at all. The salad did not even taste fresh to me. I will not be coming back for a very long time, that is if they survive the second avenue subway. What a shame.

Family friendly trattoria
Excellent for the whole family! Big family size portions (smaller are available as well) of delicious salads such as the sublime caesar, great pastas and fabulous thin crust pizzas that won't break the bank. Friendly staff that try to appease everyones requests. Hopefully the mess of the outside second ave subway construction will not prevent people from finding this place.

Best Pizza Ever!
We visit Nick's about three times a year and wouldn't consider having a pizza anywhere else in NYC. It's outstanding. The mozzarella is fantastic and the sauce to cheese ratio is right on. The crust is a perfect balance between crisp and chewy. Their salads are perfectly dressed. The meatballs are moist and flavorful. The service is consistently very good. We've never had to wait on a Sat night (which we always find surprising, given how good this place is). We just ate there this past weekend and miss it already!

Would marry for bread recipe
The garlic bread on the oil before is pretty much the bomb.com. I am usually pretty good at resisting table bread...but this had me at hello. Besides that, the pizza is good. Very fresh and authentic. The staff is great and love to give recommendations. It'sa good thing they are kind of pricey...or else I would be fat...and broke...and would probably smell like garlic. Definitely check it out!

Freshest Italian Food On the UES
Nick's has the freshest Italian food on the UES. Their pastas are delicious (and they will make them however you want), their meats are tender and tasty, and they use fresh ingredients for their pizza. They're one of my favorite places to order from. Plus, with the second avenue construction they can use the support!

Pasta etc lovely!
Pizza is great, though slightly pricey for my liking. Everything else is a deal, though. Well worth it!

Best Pizza on UES by far!
The pizza is absolutely awesome! And not just that, we also always get the pastas, the chicken parm, and more and it's always great. We always go here when family is in town and everyone always loves it. Prices are reasonable and service is very good. We will keep going back over and over!
