    just happened upon

We were traveling though New York with a young couple from England, who don't get Lobster often. We punched in seafood into our GPS and Nick's came up. So off we went. We came upon it and our guests loved that it was on the water with an outside area to eat. We were going to sit outside but they had no umbrella's due to the windy day. We were seated inside with a view of the water which was nice. Until it started to get extremely hot in the room. Then they turned the air on and we were right under where it was blowing from and were actually shaking from being so cold. We asked if they could move the way the air blows somehow but they could not. She suggested we change our seats which we did. We were placed at a table right next to the window, which was nice for our guests to take some photos. The service was very slow. We seemed to be the last people to be taken care of. People who came in after us were taken care of quickly, we seemed to have been forgotten. We finally ordered and then had to wait again for our food to arrive. It seemed like forever. Our guests had gotten the lobster in a cream sauce over linguine and a lobster sandwich. He loved his pasta but the lobster sandwich was like a lobster patty. Very strange. My husband had the seafood platter which he claims was frozen seafood not fresh. I had the fried filet of sole which was fried just right and I believe I had at least three pieces. It was good. Not sure I would go back as they did not have the simple items I like to get like a side order of fried clams or a buttered lobster roll. A large menu but sometimes simple is better.

    A Trip To Brooklyn

I must be honest about the Food, I found the meal very good, I had asked for something that was not on the menu, They prepared the request with no problem, it was very good, and the portion was very healthy. Now here is where we need to work on somethings. The waitress was extremly slow, I think she was working on some tables in another restauant, because she was missing most of the time. The restaurnat did not have an empty table when I first sat down, so I don't understand her absence in the dinning area (?) Onto the dessert, I had ordered cheescake, the cheescake came out with a little whipped cream, nice touch, but! the plate looked as though it came from the last flee market of the summer season. It had more chips and damage, it looked like something that you would have gotten from a flee market for fifty cents, or possibly, "free". I would think that they should know better than to serve on plates in such a manner. The restaurant was loud as well, but there was a birthday group in the rear of the dinning area, with a lot of kids who ran around I hope this may be read by the powers that be, and may be address these issues

    Food tasty and presentation good

Crowd a little loud with kids. Food was very good. They prepared something that was not on the menu. And did it very well. My only point of concern is the slow attention by the waitress. There seems to be many working when done just the attention is just somewhere else. Otherwise the experience was ok. 7 out of a ten

    Never Again

Lobster was rubbery. Seafood stuffing was so greasy, but you couldn't eat much of it because it was so burned it was stuck to the dish it was cooked on. 20 oz prime rib could not have weighed more that 8 oz. Soda watered down. Baked potato had big black spot in it that was very obvious before it was put on the table. Complained to the waitress and she giggled. Was charged for food that was inedible. Way over priced. I don't mind spending the money if the food is good. This was just disappointing
