I walk by this place everyday on my way home from work, and I FINALLY went in to dinner last Monday. I can't believe I didn't go in sooner! We started at the bar, and had some beautiful starters... these spicy sausages, chick pea fries with a delicious aioli and beets with goat cheese (my favorite)! When we sat, the sommelier helped us pick out a beautiful Bordeaux (their wine list even has a table of contents)!! I had an amazing entree, short ribs (cooked perfectly) and my friend had the salmon, which was delicious. The portions were big enough to fill us up, but not so much, that I felt like a hefer. Haha. I definitley won't walk past this place anymore!

I recently had dinner here and they treated me and my guest like a couple of visiting royalty. From the great amuse and hor dourves and then a killer shrimp appetizer to unbelievable shortbreads...the whole experience was a culinary delight. Staff was attentive and warm and had no problem getting us what we wanted within 2 minutes of ordering it. They know how to please at this place.

Had a delightful meal there. the chicken was very tasty, pleasantly presented and nicely served. BUT, when you order wine, make sure you know what you are getting. $12.00 for a glass of Merlot is a bit much, I mean....really! When the server suggested a Merlot to me, I said "Yes", but was sorry when the bill arrived. I should have had the person point to it on the menu, but I didn't. My fault. I learned my lesson.

I had dinner with my parents and fiance, and it was fantastic. The appetizers and entrees were delicious, we had hummus and a great dish with beets and goat cheese. My mother and I had the five-napkin burgers and they definitely lived up to their name -- although I would suggest ordering it medium rare and not medium for maximum sloppiness. This is a great neighborhood restaurant, a little pricey (my fiance said he couldn't justify spending 16.50 on a burger), but still a very nice meal for a night out. My parents really enjoyed the food and are already planning to take us there the next time they come into the city.

I was not impressed. Although the service was lovely and the place was bistrolike, I thought the food was pedestrian. I had the 5 napkin burger and it was not a juicy burger. One napkin would suffice. I like the $4.50 burgers at the Burger Joint at the Parker Meridian. It was not even a third as good. The fish was ok and the chicken special not much better. THe waiter was so nice and the beer on tap was tasty.

I've eaten here four times...twice on business and twice with a friend...and this is one of my favorites in New York. Service has always been great (although my entertainment client being easily recognized may have had something to do with that), and the food has always been quite good. This is a very energetic place and a wonderful experience. You should go!

Three out of four of us ordered the special Branzino fish. It was delicious but the tiniest portion I have ever seen. "A nice hors d'oeuvre" one friend said. With the bill close $150 including tip, there should be more food on the plate.
