Went for a late supper New Year's Eve. Excellent service, very nice specials. Wine list is extensive and we didn't have the time to peruse it. Waiter made a very fine suggestions for wines by the glass. Will return. Will recommend it to friends.

I used to enjoy the food at this restaurant. Last couple of meals have been disappointing. Sandy mussels that had to be sent back. The steak replacing the mussels was almost impossible to chew. A watery nicoise salad mostly composed of large chunks of celery and red and green peppers. The egg was overcooked and the tuna was okay. Will try one more time based on Past experience before I give up on this place

A truly unhappy recent dinner experience here. The only prompt service was the initial delivery of menus. It was forgetfulness and neglect from then on, starting with the glasses of lukewarm water (getting a few cubes of ice took ages) and the basket of cold bread. Having orders taken took forever, as did entree delivery. big bowls of mussels and bouillabaisse, which came without any spoons for the broth. The place was incredibly noisy; that was at the "quiet" table we'd requested. Oh, yeah, the food was pretty good. But . . .

The place has gone downhill in a big way! Last time I was there for dinner and we were so displeased we'll never go back. A salad that was supposed to have "mountain gorgonzola" had some chunks vaguely cheesy stuff that was unrecognizable. The sole looks and tastes like a big flattened out fish stick, no wonder they hide it under a salad! The risotto was crunchy and mushy at the same time. We ordered a bottle white wine and it was not chilled. The server had no idea how to chill it and disappeared for long stretches. The place also got way loud, we had trouble having a conversation - had to shout at each other... and it's not exactly cheap either!

This is a consistently good place to eat on the Upper West Side. Good clean food. Great place.

The waitstaff cannot seem to get it right. I ordered simple scrambled eggs, and received an awful plate of scrambled egg whites mixed up with overcooked greasy potatoes. With friends one night we ordered the sorbet for dessert, three different types, and we all sent it back. They tasted like gasoline. Poor place to eat. Very expensive. Not quality food.

Decided to check it out after reading some good reviews. Totally not worth it. The hanger steak tasted like charcol from outside and 15 bucks for a glass of wine!! Are u kidding me.
