I want to like this place...I really do. The idea of healthy food coupled with the cute decor makes me want to eat there, but every time I order something it's kinda bland. I think they just need to rework some of the recipes. You can be healthy without sacrificing taste.

This place doesn't quite know what it wants to be. The menu is all over the place. It offers both sushi and Italian. It also wants to be organic and healthy. Pick a theme and do it right. To be fair, the meatballs were excellent, but my friends dish wasn't as good as mine. The restaurant has a nice vibe. Loud enough that it's "happening" and interesting, but quiet enough to have a conversation. It's worth checking out, but I haven't followed my own advice again.

A hidden gem -- definitely one of the best restaurants in Washington Heights. Lovely atmosphere (good lighting, exposed brick, candles in wall niches, tiled tables), excellent sushi (try to chirashi), and friendly staff. Not as busy as it deserves to be! Delicious martinis and sake at happy hour (which goes late).

This is a great restaurant in The Heights. I've had some one or two lame dishes- like the chicken but otherwise I go here often and the tuna entree is my favourite, the edamame is so good, and I love the pumpin-ish spead they give you for your bread. The service is good. Not to mention the organic syrah wine is delish.

This is my husband's and my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Very mellow, nice lighting, quiet, relaxing and the food is organic and very very good. Low salt but they let you add it :)

Holy cow, I ate at Next Door last night and I ordered the Ultimate Tuna Roll, the waitress gave me a knowing grin and said, "Great choice, I had that for dinner last night." I've eaten my fair share of good and bad sushi, but this was truly the best sushi I've ever had...first of all it was gorgeous, small and delicate and beautifully rolled, second of all the tuna was beautifully cut and fresh fresh fresh AND sweet and buttery, not at all "fishy", and thirdly, there was a little bit of magic in the light and crispy tempura flakes that just elevated the standard tuna and avocado combo to something extraordinary. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and everyone was attentive and professional. I didn't want to start the review on a bad note, because I've been thinking about that excellent sushi ALL DAY, but I will say that our appetizers were kind of subpar. I had the white bean and sundried tomato dumplings, and they were like shoe leather with a weird filling, and my friend had the eggplant and wild mushroom cake that was grey, dry and over pureed. Both sounded lovely on the menu, but were poorly executed. But I'll come back again and again for the sushi now that I know how good it is.
