    Home delivery

I was charged $26 for a Medium Rare Rib-Eye that looked more like a well done shoe sole when it was delivered. With my order I asked for double order of asparagus rather than the mash potato. If 6 spears of asparagus counts as a double order, I'm left a bit perplexed. I promptly called to have my cash returned in exchange for the seemingly microwaved carnage that was delivered.

    Great food and wonderful wine

I love the hanger steak! I order it every time I eat there. I go there at least once a week. The staff are great! The food is amazing! I cannot stress the quality of the food enough. Sometimes the restaurant may be a bit empty and not too many people are present in the dining room, but do not let that defer you from eating here. It is totally worth it. The food is delicious! As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I can attest to how good the food is. There is no need to travel to midtown for a great meal and a good glass of wine!

    MSG Alert!

Stick with the sushi. Though they have a 3-piece minimum per type, which is annoying. Fried chicken awful. And the chicken in the jambalaya tastes strange, consists almost entirely of rice, and is full of MSG. I felt like my head was about to explode when I left. Service stinks.

Just had brunch. Amazing freshly squeezed (right to order) juice. Fresh fruit served with plates. Eggs tasted fresher than your usual eggs. Dishes were very tasty, service quite good, prices reasonable. Great find.

Not as good as it used to be

Next Door used to be one of our favorite local restaurants. We hadn't been in a while and were excited to go back a couple of nights ago. In short, we were disappointed. It just wasn't the same as it used to be. It used to be a homey, cozy, little restaurant with a yummy (albeit odd) combination of healthy choices, comfort food, and sushi on the menu. I always had trouble deciding what to get because everything sounded so good. The tables were cute and had fun little recessed pockets of dried beans that you could see through the glass table tops. But now those tables are gone, the ambience is completely different, and the menu was far less enticing. Our food was actually very good - I can't say anything bad about my fried chicken or my husband's steak burrito - but everything else was just blah and disappointing. And the service was abysmal. So sad our little local dinner spot isn't what it used to be. :(

    It's Our Joint

We either order or go here 4 times a week. It's good food from a clean restaurant in a great neighborhood with great people. Nuff said.

    What a shame!

Another place in the area that survives purely cuz of small dining selection. My biggest problem with this place is their service. The service is always slow and often erroneous. Management is never around and no improvement in years. Its such a shame and waste that they merged with 107W.
