I was having a birthday party and I couldn't decide about the place where to celebrate it for a long time. My friend advised me 'Tzar' restaurant. She said that service is great, food is delicious and prices are good. I didn't regret about my choice. We had a lot of fun! A big plus of that place is that they have 'fusion lounge' next door( the same owner), where you can enjoy amazing drinks and smoke hookah

Though, when we decided to order a small (continental) banquet on 25 people, awfully worried, as everything will turn out. After all, we never weren't here earlier, only saw advertising on TV / very witty, by the way!/ The result surpassed all expectations, and fears didn't come true. The food was excellent, the most tasty, various and balanced portions. You leave full and happy. It is was a good idea to order only the small banquet option! The service was not simply irreproachable, very personal heart-to-heart, that we in any way didn't expect. And it is very important that we were looking for a separate elegant room for the friends to socialize, sing, watch home made movie and all this we here found, even DVD player was available and a HD TV right in the in the room. Shortly, it is better than anything we had experienced for 20 years living in USA. We put 5 stars and we will recommend to all with a clear conscience!

I made a same day reservation for July 3 for an 8pm to use my groupon. My husband and I are foodies and their website seem inviting in groupon. When we got there, the manager refused to serve us stating that he only takes groupon reservation at 6 or 630. I spoke to the manager who was the same person who took my reservation earlier clafying the confusion but he was rude and would not speak to me. I didn't drive all the way from Jersey to be treated like this. I wanted to walk away but we already paid for it and would not be able to refund. I spoke to the waiter who I guess mentioned that we drove from nj for this and finally he was allowed to serve us. There was only one other couple there and I don't understand why. Decor was dark and gloomy and service was poor. Appetizers were ok but entrees both filet mignon and ribeye were overcooked and bland. Inspite of all that, I still paid 150 including the groupon. Not worth it. I've been to so many restaurants and this is the very first time I wrote a review. Run and spare yourselves.

We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant and it was a total disaster. The food was not fresh and the portions were very small. The plates were constantly empty and the guests went home hungry. In addition, the menue items were substitiuted and the manager never notified us. Does not worth it. Will never return.

My family and I dinned at this restaurant recently to celebrate a special occasion. The decor was decent and the menu seemed to have some good choices. A few of us ordered salads as appetizers however we noticed it was not as fresh as it should be which was disappointing. The main courses ordered were decent but not fantastic and did not warrant those ridiculously expensive prices. I will not be returning.

My husband and myself were treated royally-- even with a Living Social voucher. The food is very, very good. Excellent seafood salad, the salmon was suburb, as was the grilled veggies. The raisin bread was warm and crisp. The portions are gargantuan-- my salad was enough for a main dish. The atmosphere is like a wedding venue--but more romantic.

We visited this restaurant on 11/5/11. We had a coupon for four that we purchased from Groupon.com. The food was good and we liked the interior of the restaurant. However, we will never return to this place and will not recommend it to any of our friends. It seems that the management doesn't really care if you return or not. We had a bottle of wine that we had brought with us and the manger told us that we were not allowed to bring our own liquor. This was not mentioned in the coupon. The manger was very fresh and rude to us. The prices for wine are outrageous there. We offered to buy a bottle of wine and pay a cork charge for the second bottle. The manager would not agree to that. This is not how you treat your customers, especially in the Russian restaurant where they always allow you to bring your own wine or would state it on the deal. Too bad the place is nice and cozy.
