New York Luncheonette

Having just returned from a week in NYC I am so thrilled we came across this place. For under $10 you can get a great breakfast inc. coffee. Hotel breakfasts are so expensive so to find a place in NYC that still serves great food at great prices is fantastic. Its centrally located close to most of the big hotels. We will always use this place on future visits.

My wife and I go to New York luncheonette every time we go to the city. The cook cooks her food to perfection. Their soups are delicious. Services are great and Waiters are friendly. Well worth $$$ when around the area. Two thumbs up!

We were craving non-hotel breakfast with NYC ambiance. We were greeted by warm friendly guy, seated right away, and brought (very) hot coffee within two minutes. Service was excellent, all staff had great attitude. The breakfast was perfectly prepared. We never felt rushed, despite the rotation of people coming and going. Set us up for a great day.

As a Swiss tourist, we're looking for a good american breakfast restaurant. Very delicious pancakes and waffles at the New York Luncheonette! Nice and friendly staff. I will return anyway...

Our party of 5 ate breakfast on 4 consecutive mornings whilst staying at the Intercontintental round the corner. I'd read some luke warm reviews but we decided to give it a chance and am glad we did. We could not fault the food or service and the atmosphere was that of a typical New York diner, which is as visiting Brits is exactly what we wanted. Give it a go !

Terrible service on a takeout order for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast special with pancakes, eggs and sausage but I asked for home fries instead of the meat. Instead of a simple substitution, they charged me for a side of home fries and the meat. I had to take this up with the manager because the staff was rude and unhelpful. Breakfast ended up being average at best and 2xs the typical price for a NY diner.
