Steadily downhill
Over the past 8 years, I've been to Wonjo multiple times and always loved it. Recently, the food quality i.e taste has been declining which is very disappointing. Last night, I saw huge lines and couldn't figure out why. We went across the street to New York Gom Tang which also uses charcoal and not gas. Price per entree was cheaper and the taste was good although not great but considering the alternative of declining taste and expensive portions, NY Gom Tang was perfect.

Ktown favorite
Fantastic late night grub! Nice service. Good portions. Average price for Ktown area.

I don't understand how this place gets so much business. The service was good and decor was nice, but the food was really expensive, tiny, and disappointing. We ordered the bul goki (marinated rib eye) and the gobdol bibim bop, and both were unappetizing. The bibim bop is advertised as having ground beef in it. There were literally 3 crumbs of ground beef on it. I thought the bul goki would be bbq'd at the table (it is in the bbq section), but it was brought on a plate already made. My girlfriend and I took one look at it and started laughing. For $26, you get a tiny plate with small chunks of dried-out beef. The entire dinner was just poor. Trust me- go anywhere else!

Great Place
I get Korean BBQ all the time and I would have to say this is my favorite place. The food is amazing, the staff are very nice and hospitable, they cook your food right at the table. The portions are generous and flavorful. Try the seafood bip bop. I can't wait to go back.

Good luck trying to get food here.
I've been to Wonjo several times for lunch and liked it just fine. Went in for dinner tonight and was told the wait for a table for two was "about 20 minutes." 40 minutes later, I'm still waiting to be seated, and was brushed off when I tried to ask the hostess about our table. I'm now writing this review from a restaurant down the street, where I was told 15 minutes, and was seated in that time. Food's good, but not good enough for that kind of treatment. They're not even this bad at Kunjip...
