I went here with a few friends before seeing a show in Central Park. My Chicken Souvlaki was very good and the sweet potatoe fries were amazing! The value was also very good. BUT the service was not good. My friend was brought a glass of water with a bright pink lipstick stain on it after a long wait for something to drink. The restrooms were just plain offensive. That is sad.

The menu looks promising with pretty pictures and fair prices, but the food tells a different story. The meatloaf is manufactured, the "fish and chips" should read "fryer oil and batter", the hash is Hormel out of a can (at least that's what it tasted like). We should have gotten breakfast and maybe we wouldn't have felt so taken. If you go here, order breakfast. Maybe that is an in-house creation. I can say the place was clean and the service was fine.

I usually avoid the UWS like the plauge, but decided upon this spot after seeing the nice reviews. Was very pleased. Had a filling breakfast and only spent 23 bucks. Its the closest you can get to denny's priced meal. Was happy with everything, except the size of the glass the OJ came in it might as well have been a sippy cup. But overall, this place is a good bargain.

I discovered they serve THE BEST 7-grain bread/toast with breakfast; I now have my burgers in it! Try grits with your eggs over easy if you're avoiding potatoes. Favorites are the breakfast specials, the spinach salad, the buffalo burger. Great coffee. Cheap, good service, be specific about how you like it.

About three months ago a friend recommended New Wave. Since that time I have ordered from this restaurant once or twice a week. Each time I try something new it is always tasty. My favorite is the Tuna Melt on Rye, while my roommate raves about their Chicken Parm. There are so many diners on the upper west side but each is hit or miss. New Wave breaks the trend as they consistantly deliver. Highly recommended.

My husband and I go there regularly every Saturday for breakfast. We both are very picky and were not able to find a better place to suit our tastes. The food is great, the service is quick and it is cheap. What else can one wish for? Definitely definitely recommend.

I am from Virginia and come here twice a year. I eat nearly every breakfast (only place I found that serves grits) and some dinners here. The place always makes you feel welcomed and the food is served quickly and is cooked to perfection. Have an enjoyable meal and visit, you will return.
