On the contrary, I love the new venus!
I had to write an opposing review because I love the Venus. I live nearby, and it's one of the only 24hr places that I know of, and happen to enjoy at the same time in the area. I had my 25th birthday last month, and after the celebration, at around 4am we stopped by the diner. We had a party of 5 and after over an hour and a half of sitting around and talking (no one rushed us out), the waitress even brought me over a complimentary piece of carrot cake with a candle because she overheard it was my birthday! (Aww.) The service there has always been quick for me, at times almost too quick - so I've never had that problem. Anyhow, thanks to the Venus!

Service not good but food is ok.
The place is cute, cosy and the food is ok. I love the delivery service, always fast, always open!

Bring back the "Old" Venus Coffee Shop
The recently rennovated "New" Venus Coffee Shop did a fabulous job with their complete re-build/re-design, and it's hard to fault their being open 24-7. Unfortunately, in the process they lost three things that made the "Old" Venus Coffee Shop rock: Gone are the yummy fat fries, hamburgers that are cooked medium when ordered medium, and smooth, well-timed service. Now their fries are just like every other area diner (average), the burgers uniformally over-cooked, and the service is downright horrible. Went there on a Sunday night at 11pm, ordered an omelette, and 30 minutes later the food was nowhere to be seen and a party of six who had came in well after my friend and I had were already eating. We were just sitting there with our waters. Hello! I was so infuriated that rather than go all ballistic, I walked out and have not returned since.

Loud mouth cook!
Ate in this "restaurant" / diner... late night / early morning on the 28th. The cook seems to think that being loud and abrasive towards the waitress is something that paying customers wish to hear. WRONG!!! Also, it seems he couldn't keep his mouth shut and had to keep voicing his opinions about everything. I don't know if this fry cook was flirting or whatever, but when I go to diner, especially late at night. I expect the cook to keep his loud mouth shut and cook...
