Definitely recomended
Excellent food and great value. Not a "scene', so you won't find any 'hipsters here, just great Vietnamese food.

Great Vietnamese For Great Price
The first time I was introduced to pho was back in California where a Vietnamese friend of mine took me to some restaurants in and around San Jose and Sacramento where the Vietnamese community is dense. I was skeptical at first but tried it and enjoyed it. When I moved to Chinatown, the first thing I did was scouted out all of the pho restaurants. Pho Tu Do is the best one I've found and because it's right down the street from where I live, it's the one I call home. Great food. Great price. Even better service. The food comes quickly and the waiters treat you as though you're a family friend. And since there's never any more than ten people dining at any given time, it's almost as if you really are at a family's dinner.

Good
Gppd amd cheap. The soup was extremely good. However the fried spring roll was not authentic. I still rate it high for a diversed menu.

Authentic and cheap
Yes it looks like Christmas all the time (the decor). But the food here is very good and (normal for Vietnamese restaurants) super cheap. The PHO broth is tasty so recommend a nice hot bowl of this. I also recommend the table grill and the seven courses of beef.

Best restaurant ever
When I came down to new york city from texas, most of my friends told me about this viet restaurant in chinatown.so I took my family with me and ate there. The food is great, the service is great, the value is cheap and I love cheap and really good tasting food that is the best combination ever. The size of Pho Tu Do reataurant is quite big and very decrative inside and it has a warm feeling to it.Well that's my review of this restaurant.Don't believe me than go try it for your selves

Downright Delicious
This place is great. The cafe su da is rockin', and the food is fantastic. Talk about your good deals, too. We ordered a large bowl of soup, a noodle salad, a crepe, and a seafood dish, and it was about 30 bucks. Can't be beat. I can't wait to get paid so I can eat here again. Seriously, that's how good it was. The staff was soooo friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well lit. If you like Vietnamese, you have nothing to lose.
