The pits
This is the bottom of the barrel, so far as pizza goes. It tastes like card-board. If they opted to put ketsup on instead of their sause, it would be an improvement. Their cheese, what little they put on their slices...is clearly not real cheese. And lastly, their prices and service make a return trip impossible.

What pizza joint runs out of pepperoni?
Recently ordered delivery. We got a Caesar salad, garlic bread, and sausage pizza. We got garlic bread because they were out of garlic rolls, and sausage because they were out of pepperoni. I will say that the pizza was fairly good, especially for the price in this area. Wish they'd had pepperoni though (what pizza joint runs out of pepperoni by 8pm?). Delivery was fairly quick but pizza wasn't very warm. Salad (according to my roomie) was mediocre; mostly just lettuce and stale croutons- and one whole garlic clove! Bread wasn't like most garlic bread I've had (won't say it was bad, just not what I expected. More garlic/pepper than garlic buttery. So just depends on your preference). One reason we picked Pizza Town was so we could pay by credit card. The guy who answered said he couldn't take card because he had too many phone calls. I work at a restaurant and know that if you write the number down you can still get off the phone pretty fast. As it was, I had to go to an ATM to get cash for the order- which sort of defeats the purpose of delivery IMO.

best slice on the upper west side
If you are walking around our neighborhood, this is the place to go for a slice.

Best pizza on the Upper West
Certainly the best pizza this neighborhood has to offer, thin crust and rich sauce in the true European style, not overly greasy. I wouldn't take a subway to eat here, but if you live in the 'hood, this is definately the place to go. Owned by a working class family, which is rare for a NY eatery circa 2009.

Absolutely Subpar Delivery Service!
Ordered delivery twice from this place. The first time it took over an hour, but the pizza was good, so I gave the place the benefit of the doubt (maybe one bad night?) and ordered again two weeks later. After waiting an hour for my pizza, the restaurant assured me it was "on its way." A half hour later - now 90 minutes later for a simple cheese pizza - I called back and the restaurant had "no record of my order" and treated me very rudely. Good pizza, but I'd caution ordering delivery from this place unless you want to wait hours for it.

The Real Deal
This is New York pizza, the way it used to be, and should be always. By far, the best on the UWS. Steer clear of the MANY bad-to-mediocre spots and go here.

great UWS pizza
They can get surly...but then again some of the customers are a pain-in-the... I think it is the best pizza in the neighborhood...
