Good for the hood
Teriyaki is made with fresh with Ginger which is a step up from most hood Chinese. You know that extra thick red stuff they claim is teriyaki but is mostly corn syrup. Give it a try, not a bad look for 6 bucks or so.

If You Have No Other Choice
This is the chinese restaurant closest to my apartment. I would consider myself pretty unlucky if were not for their delicious egg rolls and the "apple sticks" that my boyfriend always deliriously buys from here and brings to me as a present when he comes over. Don't get the garlic shrimp lunch special! It's all big pieces of bland bok choy. I'm being honest. The other day I was really tired and desperate and ordered the shrimp chow mai fun. It was'nt half bad. Oh jesus.
