The Best Chinese Food on the Upper West Side

Cheap, fast, and delicious. They even give free soda and crispy noodles. If you're looking for your standard Chinese food fare, this is the place to order from.

    Real Good Food!

i really like the food... order chicken and broccoli w/ curry sauce and white rice and you wont regret it... you better have the money in hand because as soon as you hand up the phone they're at your door! thats how fast the delivery is... if you make an order make sure they put everything in the bag because i think they seen to forget.. i ordered sweet and sour chicken and they forgot the sweet and sour sauce.. i ordered 21 fried baby shrimp and they forgot the tartar sauce.... i ordered a wonton soup and they forgot the crackers.... so REMEMBER TO TELL THEM NOT TO FORGET ANY EXTRAS W/ YOUR MEAL!

    Typical excellent cheap low-end chinese

This is the delivery Chinese for combination platters and nothing fancy. Same people as U Like (which closed). You can look up their reviews too.

Yummy Yummy Fried Rice In My Tummy

I always hated fried rice, until i got my combination plate from New Kim Lai. It was unlike any friend rice I had ever tried. It had huge chunks of roast pork and the rice was tasted buttery if that describes it. I absolutely love this place and it has become my favorite chines take out place on the UWS.

    The usual neighborhood chinese joint

Today, I had an urge to have some chinese food. I went to my usual place located on Amsterdam (between 81 & 82 St) Avenue whose name I don't remember. When I got there, there were about a dozen people standing outside. I just didn't want to be bothered so I strolled back towards my building about 10 blocks away and window shopped for some decent chinese food place. I found this Kam Lai place and I thought to give it a try. As soon as I entered, I could smell the stench of overused frying oil. But since I wasn't buying anything fried, I still decided to order Cold Sesame Noodles, Szechuan Shrimp with Fried Rice & an order of Vegable Lo Mein. The bill came out to $13.10 and I got a free soda. When I got home, I was disappointed with my Szechuan Shrimp. There were like 4 or 5 pieces of shrimp and tons of broccoli. My girlfriend liked the Vegetable Lo Mein. The Cold Noodles with sesame sauce was not good at all. That probably was the way the guy prepared it. He took noodles out from someplace, ran cold water over it, then poured a thick sesame sauce with some garnish. Needless to say, I will not be going again to this place.
