Not recommended
Basic salmon and spicy tuna maki rolls did not taste fresh. Avocado tasted off. As did the yellowtail. Many other sushi take out places to try in the neighborhood!

what's not to love?
all you can eat sushi and all you can drink beer, wine and saki? yes, it's a crazy and young atmosphere but who cares? it's friggin delicious and a great deal. and if you calm down for a minute, you might enjoy yourself! clearly you have to be in the mood for this type of thing and not looking for a romantic date night but when in the mood, it's delicious and fantastic!

C'est La Vie!
Great sushi, amazing price. My wife and I eat there all the time and we love it, but we NEVER go after 8pm as it turns into Frat Party Central and is very loud and annoying! Sunday afternoons are wonderfully peaceful though... But look, it's the East Village (soon to be named NYU Village?) and so it is what it is. And as for the "All You Can Eat" fiasco above, it seems fair (and actually quite obvious) that the policy is "all or none at all." Doesn't it? Really?

Worst Rest. Experience I've Ever Had =(
Went to this rest with friends last night for the first time. First, the environment is def undergrad foolishness. Loud sake bomb chants (with many varieties) and lackluster service make this a place not suitable for anyone over the maturity age of 19. Second, our service was terrible. After a few of us ordered all you can eat sushi, our server tells us that our non-sushi eating friend can not sit at our table with us because the entire table has to order all you can eat sushi! This was never explained to us before we ordered and we def would have not made a reservation had we known this. We asked to speak with the manager, who was inexplicably rude to us and chose not to explain the rest. policy to us. Instead he told our non-sushi eating friend to remove herself from the table (which I not so politely told him was not going to happen). He then stated that cameras would be watching us if she decided she wanted to steal some of our "all you can eat sushi". So our poor friend had to sit there and eat later because we all had already ordered. The service was slow and the tip was already included much to our chagrin. The clientele is raucous (screaming in a restaurant, literally...can you imagine!?) to say the least and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. There are much better values in the city but if you want to eat cheap food so bad then you have to ask, how much is my sanity worth?

Frat Party
I agree with the review about the frat party. I mean if you like cute girls, chugging beer, and being in a party environment then this is your place. If you are like me and enjoy monographing, butterfly preservation, the morse code, and model trains then this is not for you.

Frat House Environment
Decent food, decent service, but really annoying environment. It's a regular looking place, very mediocre decor. But what made the place so very super annoying was the frat house/sorority girl clientele. It was so loud in there I had to shout to even be heard. It definitely got really frustrating. There were people dropping drinks and jumping around - I really did feel like I was at a frat party. At an actual frat house that is okay; at a Japanese restaurant that is completely unacceptable. To make things even more irritating, we were rushed out even before we were done. We still had our drinks when they gave us the check. Pretty rude. No thanks, don't think I will be attending this frat house party again.

Yummy Sushi
I came in here with a few friends and found the restaurant just lovely. They have freshly-made, decadent sushi and a scrumptious dessert: the fried green tea ice cream in a tempura casing. I thought this restaurant was to-die-for. I will be coming back, most definitely!
