    Will not go again!

I have been to Negrils several times but THIS time I decided to write a review since I had a bad experience. I work in the West Village and even before I worked in the area I would come by on Friday's afterwork for drink and appetizers. I went for dinner and #1- they have changed the menu. less menu offerings now. #2- the food is very overpriced. #3- the food portion sizes are very small! They overcharge for a small amount of food! The food is good but you will not be full. I went with a friend and we did not order appetizers but an entree with an extra side. We did not get drinks or dessert. Our bill was $65.00!! Why? Because our server added gratuity to our bill. Mind you the service was sub-par. He was an ok server and not very attentive and then ended up getting full gratuity. He didn't even hand us our bill. I will not go back for dinner. It was not worth the money.

    Disappointed

I thought I found the perfect place to hang out after work. Not anymore, while all the other lounge on west3rd, have live bands or DJs, and is crowed with people having fun. Negril decided to gut the DJ...Negril had my kind of crowed, I felt safe with my folks...rare.R.I.P

    You will not be disappointed

We crave this place! We have tried to did a good Caribbean place in the city and we found it in NEGRIL. The food here is outstanding. It is on the expensive side but you really do get what you pay for. I suggest the Mango BBQ Wings. They are perfectly cooked with the right amount of spice to sweet. It's so good, I get an extra order to take home. And if you want a drink that will sneak up on you, go for the Village Island Punch. The pirate in you will thank you. Can't wait to come back

    Overhyped!

waited 20 minutes for initial service. waitstaff said they were in a meeting. at 6:00 pm. appetizers: bland, entree: overpriced and no different than from small storefronts in Harlem. BewareE: gratuity automatically included. plus: staff tried to put extra drink charge on bill. no accident. Overall: its for those with limited options and even less food experiences. other than that, enjoy being taken. you've been foretold.

    Best Brunch Spot

Not many paople know this place for having a delicious and tasty brunch menu. I love their diner, don't get me wrong but their brunch is a must try! PULL PORK sandwich and many other items are to DIE FOR!

One of the best restaurants I've been to!

I was expecting a regular restaurant but to my surprise it was beyond expectations. We went on a Wednesday and wasn't expecting that many people to be there. They had a live band that everyone enjoyed and the food was to die for... especially the oxtails! A lil pricey but well worth it :)
