    best muffins

It was about 9:30 am on 10/01/09 and my friend and were hungry for something. We tried the blueberry muffins and asked for them toasted. They were the best we both every had. I came with butter and jelly/jam. The waiter was very friendly. My friend asked for more coffee and he gladly refilled her cup. I had chamoille tea. I would recommend this place.

Best Iced Coffee In the City!

My fiance had their pancakes and really enjoyed them while I ate a lighter, much more simple breakfast -- a bialy and an iced coffee. The bialy was fresh, chewy, perfectly toasted and delicious and their iced coffee was hands-down, the best I've ever had in my life. Rich and perfectly brewed Illy espresso. I wish there was a Nectar on every corner instead of a Starbucks!

    best lunch in town!!

After walking all day in 5th ave. and before going to museums is best pit stop!!, My hamburger was super big lots of fries and best coke ever. Prices are very good like 10 bucks in a very nice area.

    Disappointment

My friend was visiting from out of town and was staying on the east side so I found great reviews for Nectar and decided to meet there. What a disappointment! I knew it was a little more expensive then some coffee shops, but I thought that the food, atmosphere and service would make up for it, however, this was not the case. Their is a food truck right outside and we had to listen to the generator the whole time. The inside of the coffee shop was just your typical, nothing special, coffee shop. The food was terrible, not fresh at all. My blueberry muffin was artificially flavored without any real blueberries in it and the salad was disgusting! The service was annoying at my friend and I as we were not ready to order the minute we sat down and rushed us out of our seats even though the place was empty. My suggestion: find another coffee shop when in the area, I will never return!

    Mmm cozy

I've never bothered to write a review before but this place was just so cozy and wonderful that i felt obligated! i ordered some pick up and even though they'd never seen me before i was greeted by my name when i came in. the people were just so friendly, i seriously feel fuzzy on the inside. the food was lovely as well. enjoy!

It doesn't get any better than this

This is my pick for the best short order lunch room in Manhattan. The food is terrific and the service is quick. Get the ham and cheese sandwich and the strawberry milk shake. It is difficult to rhapsodize about ham and cheese sandwichs, but try the Nectar's offering and tell me that.
