Great atmosphere and a delicious meal...
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I had salmon teriyaki with avocado and mushroom and found it delicious. The service was quite attentive and friendly and very helpful to myself and other guests explaining items from the menu. The adjoining bar was a comfortable environment with some live jazz performance. All-in-all, a great experience. I'd go back and recommend it to others for a quiet, intimate setting with tasty food!

Great Bento at Lunch
High quality sushi, dumplings, teriyaki and miso. Other than the tables being close together, the ambience is nice and the service was attentive. Definitely would go back.

Delicious Food and Service
Natsumi is definitely one of the best, new Japanese places to eat. The appetizers are especially delicious, the soup is god, the entrees are great, and the sushi is phenomenal. The wine selection is limited, but limited to some of the better wines. My boyfriend and I eat out a lot and when we want a delicious romantic meal, we go to Natsumi. The service is great and when you taste the food, you understand why it is priced the way it is. The only thing that bothers me is the size of the tables. When you order a lot of appetizers and a bottle of wine, the table does become crowded. Other than that, I have no complaints and I highly recommend this place if you are into great tasting sushi, a semi-romantic setting, and excellent unrushed service.

Good sushi for the neighborhood
Used to order regularly from Hakata, but the quality of their sushi has dropped precipitously. Searched everywhere for good delivery sushi in the neighborhood and this place is it. Nice to have fresh sushi without mushy avocado. And sushi that isn't smothered in order to make it palatable. A little on the pricey side, but with the dearth of decent sushi in the area - this place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Nice place to experience
Spot this place afte show and impressed by the food that mix of Japanese food with Italian ingredients. The food presentation is great and atmosphere is young and modish.

Too Salty
The atmosphere I liked, although it is not for everyone (the music is up beat and on the louder side. The lights are dim. And some tables may be a bit too small.) However, I was mystified that there are only two restrooms. The restaurant shares the restrooms with the bar/lounge next door (the two establishments are connected by a passage way). What would happen during the weekends when everyone will be most likely drinking? When I ordered an Asahi beer, the hostess did not know what it was. I had to point it to her from the menu. The food, if it was not so salty, would have been good. EVERYTHING we ate was salty, the touban yaki especially. The pizza nuova was not made out of pizza crust but was made out of pita bread. The Endive Unagi Mustard had four or five pieces of endive topped with small pieces of eel and tasted like yellow mustard mixed with eel. The sushi was not all that fresh either. The prices were too high, I think, because the food overall was not good at all. The atmosphere was not that superb enough for Natsumi to be charging that much money. But, I may go back their for a drink at their bar. But, the restaurant I will never go again.
